Perfect Compact Car

by Watts09 from Warren, Michigan | May 22, 2020

I was skeptical of purchasing an electric car at first, however, the car lives up to positive standards. The car is extremely quiet, smooth, and safe. It comes with all the airbags you would find in a normal full size sedan. People need to be less skeptical of an electric car, including myself. I’m happy with my purchase.

Fiat 500e electric car with style and guts

by Fiat Enthusiast Family from Bristol, RI | May 08, 2020

Our family LOVES our Fiat 500e. It provides a smooth drive with serious style! A solid little vehicle that is quiet as a mouse. A very unique automobile that is great for the environment and your bank account!!!!

bought one from PM Stanley, expect a BIG prep fee

by MASH from Keller, Texas | April 19, 2020

I went to PM Stanley because compare to others the prize appears good, and so it seems. When you get to finance is when you find out they have this $1600 fee that you have to pay, so it ends up being more expensive then other ones on Cars.com. Unfortunately there is no other dealer around here in Fort Worth Tx. Be careful. You would be better off buying a Nissan Leaf EV with fast charger.

2017 FIAT 500e Overview

The 2017 FIAT 500e is an all-electric version of the regular 500. It competes with the Ford Focus Electric, BMW i3, and Nissan LEAF. At the time of this writing, it is being sold in California and Oregon only.

The 500e has its own unique styling that separates it from its gas-powered counterpart. Most noticeably, the lower fascia opts for a more reserved look with its grater-mesh pattern. Standard features include projector headlights, power/heated side mirrors, fog lights, a rear spoiler, and 15-inch aluminum wheels. The available eSport Package comes with black-trim headlights, orange body stripes and mirrors, and unique 15-inch alloy wheels. A power moonroof is also available.

Under the Hood
The 500e is driven by a 111-hp, 83 kWh electric-drive motor mated to a single-speed automatic transmission with a push-button shifter that produces 147 pounds-feet of torque. It has a total EPA-estimated driving range of 84 miles and a combined 116 MPGe rating. The 500e can be recharged in less than 4 hours, connecting its 6.6 kW on-board charging module to a Level 2 energy source (220v).

Inside, the 500e has a quieter cabin with more interior sound insulation than the regular 500. The center stack features the Uconnect 5.0 multimedia system with a 5-inch touchscreen, navigation, Bluetooth connectivity for phone and audio, and voice command. Leatherette upholstery, automatic temperature control heated front seats, 50/50-split folding rear seat, and remote keyless entry come standard.

Standard safety features include seven airbags, antilock brakes, an electronic stability control system, and hill start assist. It also has pedestrian warning system that emits distinctive sounds at speeds below 20 mph.
