BUYER BEWARE Poor Workmanship, No Accountability, and Questionable Ethics TLDR: $5k repair botched by dealer, refuse to stand by correcting it. I purchased a 2021 Nissan Frontier from this dealership and was shown repair orders proving they had resealed the front engine cover during their inspection and reconditioning process. I was assured this issue had been properly repaired before the sale. Less than a month later — and with under 1,000 miles driven — the same area began leaking oil again. Upon inspection, it’s clear the reseal was done with extremely poor workmanship: uneven sealant, excess residue, and visible gaps. When I contacted the dealership, I was told the truck was sold “as is” and that I should have purchased an extended warranty. That response is completely inappropriate — extended warranties do not cover poor workmanship or improper repairs performed prior to sale. Attempting to push a warranty to cover such work could even be considered warranty fraud, since the issue was pre-existing and known to the dealership. A proper repair has been quoted at over $5,000. For full transparency, the truck also has a coolant leak, TPMS concern, highway vibration, and parking sensor faults — none of which I have requested help with. My only concern was the leak they claimed to have repaired. Instead of standing behind their own work, they dismissed responsibility entirely. Selling a vehicle with a known issue, performing a visibly sloppy repair, and then deflecting blame to a warranty company is unethical and unacceptable. I cannot recommend this dealership to anyone seeking honesty, quality, or accountability. I am open to negotiating a resolution to this matter. If a resolution is reached, I will remove or edit this review accordingly.
