Sames Bastrop Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram

Brought in Grand Caravan with a problem where it would not go over 35 mph. Service department told me it may be the transmission and they had to diagnose the problem which could take 2 hours or more to complete. I told them to go ahead with the diagnostic. They contacted me a few days later and told me the transmission needed to be rebuilt for $7800. I asked about the cause of the transmission problem and the service advisior said they didn't know. I asked about why rebuild a transmission if you don't know the original problem, and didn't get a direct answer. I asked if they found the low fluid level and the diagnostic codes in the computer (which I found before taking the van to Sames), and was told the following: 'You have to take the transmission apart to find out what is wrong with it.' Sames Dodge took the transmission out of my van and did not follow any of the Dodge/Stellantis 'service procedures' to troubleshoot the problem. I confirmed the service procedures were not followed after talking to Dodge directly. We got the van back from Sames Dodge with the transmission and a million little parts in a large oily box on the 3rd row seats.

After our sons car was lost to criminals, JR helped us find the perfect replacement. We couldn’t be happier with the time Sames took to make sure our sons new “to us” 2011 wrangler, is in top condition. They really do take care of their customers, and JR will treat you the same if you’re buying a brand new vehicle, or a used vehicle. So go see him, if he doesn’t have it, he can probably find it for you…..
