I'd give negative stars if I could!!! This was by far, the worst car buying experience I have ever had at any dealership. My salesman, David was fine, but the the other people that I dealt with were just liars, deceiving, and incompetent!! It's hard to believe they are still in business. According to their rating here, I am not the only who thinks this way. 1.-Test drove a used car on Saturday, then on the following Monday, I called and said I want to buy the car and will give them a deposit to hold it until I could pick it up on Friday because I was traveling for work. They said they couldn't hold the car that long. I told them I would give them a $5k deposit. They still said no. I called again on Wednesday to see if it was till available, and it was. Again, I wanted to give a deposit to hold it for 2 more days until Friday, they said no again!! xxx?? I should have walked away then if that's how they treat customers! Friday came and I went in to buy the car. Traded in my old car. The sales manager, (short bald guy with a beard), said "Your car has 2 accidents, so I can't sell it and will just send it to auction. It's not worth much". I'm like whatever, I don't care what you do with my car after I trade it in. A couple days later I look on their website and they have my trade-in on their lot for sale. Like I said, I could care less, but it's the fact he had to lie to me for no reason. I'm a 59 year old guy, so I don't understand why he felt the need to lie to me. To me, it's the principle/ethics of it and is the poster child for unethical car salesmen. 2.- The car I bought had the oil light on, and they said they would fix that if I bought the car. I bought the car and brought it in for them to fix the oil pressure sensor. They said it would only be 2 hours and I can wait. I waited for 3 hours before anyone gave me an update, so I had to go to service and ask them. They said they needed another hour and it will be done. Well, 2 more hours go by and still nobody gave me an update, so again, I had to go back ask what's going on. They said they needed more time and if can give them until tomorrow. So I wasted 5.5 hours there. I had no choice so I left the car there and they finally offered me a loaner. I go in the next day when they said the car was fixed. When I get there they said the SES light came on when they pulled it out, so they need to know what that is. 2 hours later, still no update, so I go back, again, to see what's going on. They tell me they don't why the SES light is on, and that they might have done something that caused it to go on. They said they want to bring it to their Hyundai/Genesis dealer in Downers Grove to look at it, since they're experts on these cars. Again, I had no choice but to say sure, just get it fixed. At this time, the car was in their shop for 5 days, I only had it for 6 days myself. 3.- They get it to their Genesis dealer and it takes them 2 weeks to find the problem. In those 2 weeks they had my car, I received no updates from them. I had to call everyday to get updates. Frigging ridiculous!!!! I think there was more to it than that and that maybe they sold me a lemon and were hiding it. They denied this of course. 4.- It's a Friday, and they said it would be ready on Monday, and they would call me to let me know. This was their Service Director Mike. Well Monday came and I never received a phone call. I call them Tuesday morning for an update and they said the car was ready yesterday/Monday, but nobody called me and let me know. Again, no communication. Finally got the car back after 3 weeks, and so far, the no warning lights. (Knock on wood!) While they had the car, I asked them to test drive it because it was pulling to the right and might need an alignment. They said they performed an alignment, but apparently never drove it because it's still pulling to right. I wonder if they even did the alignment. 5.-I relayed my disappointment and frustration, they didn't care.
