Don't Overpay for Your New Chevrolet Tahoe

2024 Chevrolet Tahoe Overview

What Is the 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe?
The Chevrolet Tahoe is a full-size, three-row SUV that was redesigned for the 2021 model year. It seats up to nine, and power comes from a standard 355-horsepower, 5.3-liter V-8 engine that works with a 10-speed automatic transmission; a 420-hp, 6.2-liter V-8 and a 277-hp, turbo-diesel 3.0-liter inline-six are also available. GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driving system is offered on Premier and High Country trims. An RST Performance Edition variant for the sport-themed RST trim includes a sport suspension, Brembo-brand brakes, and performance intake and exhaust systems that bump the 6.2-liter V-8’s output to 433 hp.

The Tahoe is available with rear- or four-wheel drive, and it competes with the Ford Expedition, Nissan Armada and Toyota Sequoia. It offers 30.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind its second row and 12.8 cubic feet behind the third, according to Cars.com’s cargo measurements. The Chevrolet Suburban is an extended-length version of the Tahoe.

What’s New on the 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe?
A substantially freshened Tahoe and Suburban are slated to arrive as 2025 models; neither vehicle sees any significant updates for 2024.

Should I Buy the 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe?
The Tahoe is a strong choice for drivers who need to carry a lot of people or tow a heavy trailer. Its high-quality interior is roomy, and the range of available powertrains is a plus. The 6.2-liter V-8 delivers the strongest acceleration (particularly with the RST Performance Edition upgrades), but it’s also — not surprisingly — the thirstiest of the SUV’s three available engines. The Tahoe’s ride can be floaty with the available air suspension, too, and there’s some tire noise with the optional 22-inch wheels.
