Don't Overpay for Your New Chevrolet Colorado

2024 Chevrolet Colorado Overview

What Is the 2024 Chevrolet Colorado?
The Chevrolet Colorado is a mid-size pickup truck offered solely in a crew-cab configuration with a 5-foot-2-inch cargo bed. Power is provided by a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine that comes in two states of tune: Lower trims offer 237 horsepower and 260 pounds-feet of torque, while upper trims churn out 310 hp and a stout 430 pounds-feet of torque. Rear-wheel drive is standard, with four-wheel drive optional. The Colorado has a maximum tow rating of 7,700 pounds, which is more than direct rivals such as the Ford Ranger, Nissan Frontier and Toyota Tacoma.

What’s New on the 2024 Chevrolet Colorado?
Having undergone a complete redesign for 2023, the bulk of the Colorado lineup is unchanged for 2024. The off-road-ready ZR2 Bison, however, has been revived. This flagship model comes with massive 35-inch all-terrain tires, a wider front and rear track, steel underbody skid plates, a winch-capable front bumper, power-locking front and rear differentials, and 12.2 inches of ground clearance.

Should I Buy the 2024 Chevrolet Colorado?
The Chevrolet Colorado is a versatile, hardworking mid-size truck that can be configured for all sorts of driving needs. Anyone looking for a basic mid-size truck with a reasonable price tag, reasonable fuel economy and room for five onboard will be happy with the base WT trim. Scaling up to a Trail Boss, Z71 or ZR2 variant gives the Colorado outstanding off-road credentials and should appeal to adventure-seeking truck shoppers. There are some hard plastics throughout the interior, however, and the Colorado’s former diesel engine option was dropped with the 2023 redesign. Rear legroom is also skimpy, so don’t plan on seating long-limbed adults back there for any length of time.
