Called for estimate for work related to a service

Called for estimate for work related to a service bulletin; at the direction of my mechanic. "Have to bring in to be diagnosed, we don't do that over the phone". Dropped off car, service bulletin and told them what I wanted". Never received estimate for work I wanted. However, I was quoted $12K for the work they said I needed. NOPE!! Stated in all CAPS on service bulletin it wasn't necessary. Authorized replacement of 1 line they claimed was leaking and "running onto the part" I wanted repaired. (Found out after the fact that was 3 feet and an engine block of a lie ) $1200. Drove it for just about 1.5 hrs. Broke down an hour from home with older relatives. Called service dept. was told they couldn't send a tow truck or provide a car. "We don't do that". HOWEVER, at this point they DID VOLUNTARY diagnose my issue without looking at the car. ALL MY FAULT for turning down the transfer case replacement. Turns out, at 11PM that night, the tow truck driver, my ride and my mechanic pointed out the issue. Both, the one they created AND the one they stated didn't exist. Four times I asked about the issue I wanted quoted when I dropped it off; four times I was told it didn't exist. By the way, my "HEAVILY DAMAGED" transfer case is just fine. Turns out it isn't going to "go at any time". Disputed charge with credit card company. Harry Greens drafted a lovely letter explaining how it was ALL MY fault, even making up things I supposedly said about the problem. Stating how they had offered to help me with a tow truck???? So now it's off to small claims court to see if I can get my money back, money for the tow truck, repair of the repair, time taken off work to return borrowed vehicle, time invested in preparation and the dinner that was ruined because they did such a poor job. Just wait till they find out the actual issue. Either they have the worst mechanic's in the state or it was deliberate and they expected me to bring the car back. They would have been able to take another shot at the $12,000 repair. Everyone told me what they are like. But I took them the Nissan Service Bulletin! TOLD them EXACTLY where the issue was! I really didn't think they could mess up a simple line replacement! Whatever this was on thier part. ruined an 80th birthday dinner at a very lovely restaurant. Cost me as much to repair the issue they created. I spent the entire evening begging for rides, loaned vehicles and trying to organize a tow truck that would not make the 4 of us stand around for 5 hours. I was outside on the phone and texting. Not to mention the upset it caused the people with me. Too bad I can't leave negative star's. Beware going to this dealership.

Bought a “quality used vehicle” with warranty and the service department has had my vehicle more than I have drove it. There was issue's with the vehicle from the start. Making my second payment and they have still not fixed the issues. I’m being told they will not fix the issues. Poorest customer communication of any company I have ever dealt with. Owners will not even call back or help customers. Only person who has been great is my salesperson Mac. He was amazing. Please use caution when buying from this dealer. You will get stuck with a “lemon” and have no choice but to put money into the car yourself. Buyer beware.
