Wilson Chevrolet

Took my 2019 GMC to Wilsons for a check engine light. Received a call that said it needed a ECM and a fuse block. The cost to replace both would be around 1700.00 dollars. Upon talking with the service advisor and the so called tech, he convinced me it had to be the ECM. Told them to replace the ECM since he seemed to be pretty sure of himself at a cost of 1119.95. Got a call next day and said truck was ready but check engine light was still on and needed to also replace the fuse block. Upon asking them if the fuse block did not fix it at a cost of another 600.00 dollars if they were going to remove unneeded parts I was told to try swapping the fuse block fro my wifes truck to see if that would fix it since she has one identical to mine, and I also have a mechanical background. Figured out right then they were parts swapping. Picked up my truck after paying the 1119.95 and took it to Love GMC. Received a call the next day with an estimate for checking and proper diagnosis of the issue and gave them the go ahead to test. Received a call 2 days later and was told the issue was the fuel pump control module. No where near the ECM or fuse panel. When I asked if they were sure that would fix it the immediate reply was absolutely. Repaired issue with no problems and lower cost than estimated by Wilsons for parts that would have in no way fixed my problem. Question is just how many people do they do this to and get by with it. I now tell everyone about my experience with them and can assure you never, ever again.

My service advisor Malise always does a great job. She always finds the problem and fixes it. Goes out of her way. Very pleased with our visit.

In and out in 40 minutes for a standard oil change. Service department is always very helpful.
