My vehicle had a seatbelt anchor cable break.
My vehicle had a seatbelt anchor cable break. There is Technical News Bulletin about this issue. I brought my car in, asked for an oil, transmission fluid, and differential fluid change. They replaced the seatbelt anchor but did not reassemble my seat correctly so it would flop back while driving. They did not give an oil change with no reasons as to why. I was told it would be a week before they could fix the seat. A week later, my differential starts clunking. It never did that before. I have the diff inspected by another shop and its full of metal! I bring the car back to Patriot Chevrolet. They tell me there is a Technical News Bulletin for my differential, and to leave my car with them. So I do. The day goes by, then I stop in at the end of the day and I'm told they didn't do any of the work the TNB said to try. I asked if they at least drained the fluid of the metal. Nope. They explain that they don't feel the TNB resolution will solve my differential issue so they didn't bother going through the process. But leaving metal in the fluid was fine to them. But didn't you do the differential fluid change? Nobody mentioned any metal before? That's when I was told they didn't drain the fluid but they vacuumed it out and pumped in fresh fluid. (I am mechanically inclined, and the proper way is to drain from the drain plug then fill to the appropriate amount in the fill plug... not difficult to do!) They need to remove the differential to inspect it and diagnose it and they intend to charge me 6 hours of labor to remove it. I wasn't charged for the seatbelt that had TNB, why am I being charged for the differential? Oh the seatbelt was due to safety. A differential failing while I'm driving is a safety concern. The assistant service manager then said, well anything can be related to safety. They won't touch it, unless I pay. Ok how much to just replace the entire assembly? The assistant service manager made a phone call to his "parts guy" then wrote down a number then hung up. $2,700.00 not including labor. Why? Why what? What he failed or rather ignored through out all our interactions is, I AM A CAR GUY and HAVE CONNECTIONS and already priced out the parts and labor with people I trust! I can get a brand new differential for $1,500.00 and you are quoting me $2,700.00 (not including labor) for a part I'm convinced your shop damaged. He asks to see an invoice, and I provide him one. He tries to renegotiate and offers the differential at $1,700.00, no, you guys couldn't handle putting a seatbelt in my car, you clearly did something wrong to my differential, I am not PAYING YOU for your screw up ESPECIALLY after you tried extorting me! Seeing as I asked for my keys, he then writes a final number down coincidentally matching the number of my invoice saying "customer refuses work at $3,200.00". So with my differential in its fragile state, I risk driving it to a shop I trust, have them perform a swap, and do their best to diagnose what Patriot Chevrolet did wrong. Other than absurd amounts of metal in the differential fluid, they only manage to drain out half a plastic solo cup of fluid! That's FAR less than the factory 3.5 quarts last time I checked! Lack of lubrication can destroy any part in record time! The assistant service manager mentioned they didn't know what they vacuumed out, now I doubt they knew what they pumped in! The Service Manager was polite and wanted to follow up with me. She asked for photos, invoices, and for me to drop off my damaged differential, which I obliged. Their resolution, a minor amount of service department store credit... Needless to say, I will NEVER bring a vehicle to this place again. I was polite, I tried to work with them, and in the end, they tried to extort me, and I'm out $3,200.00. This Camaro is my daily driver. I keep it in immaculate condition, ceramic coating it once a month, even the employees there were impressed with how nice it looked. Avoid this place.

I paid via certified check for a 2023 MIN Cooper SE but
I paid via certified check for a 2023 MIN Cooper SE but was given an incorrect amount when I called from my bank. At the dealership, I was talked into buying a $1,600 tires/rims protection plan that turned out to be highly small-print restrictive, w/lots of hoops to jump through for reimbursement. Patriot dragged its feet on getting me my refund checks, couldn't tell me when to expect title to the car, & otherwise refused to help offset the cost of a 2nd key (the MINI should've come w/2). Ultimately, I'm glad I bought my MINI but wish it had been from a dealer that cares about you after the sale. Patriot obviously felt I wasn't worth their time: I hadn't bought a GM product, wouldn't be returning to them for service & canceled the Allstate tires/rims plan they talked me into. It's also clear why they want to discuss everything by phone (even when a sales mgr. left messages he wouldn't go into detail): they don't want a record of anything they've said. I made a habit of recording every call with them: you may want to do the same. I urge any out-of-state or first-time dealership customers to be extremely cautious: check all calculations yourself, ask for updated documents in writing, & don’t assume you’ll get follow-up after the sale. If you're buying a used EV from Patriot (or anywhere else) know that you have the option to make the dealer apply the $4K IRS Credit (at least until September 2025) against the price of the car you're buying. I may not have been a high-dollar buyer, but I did pay in full, in good faith, and expected better. Patriot Chevrolet of Warminster just doesn't care enough about buyers like me.
