Leasing a new car!

Thanks to Chris Vanbrocklin for a very easy transition from turning in old lease to a new lease. I loved doing much of the paperwork on line. Less time in the office means more time for me. Thanks Chris. Awesome experience!

Absolute Terrible Experience

I originally purchased my vehicle from FX Caprara Ford, and have had it serviced with no problems. I now bring it in to this dealership for a front camera issue. I waited weeks until The service associate assured me that they would have a loaner while they worked on my vehicle. I drove the 40 miles to the dealership only to find out that she did not have the loaner. I then waited for the loaner to be available and drove 40 miles again, to drop my truck off and have it diagnosed. turns out it was a wiring harness that needed to be exchanged. I was given an estimate of what the work would cost and found that the warranty company would not pay the amount that the dealership said it would take to do the job. They claimed because the harness had many wires it took longer to connect. The fact is a harness as a harness whether it is two wires or 200 wires. That’s why they make a harness. Two end click together and all of the connections have previously been made in the harness. She explained originally that they would have to remove the front bumper, and then later explained that they had to pull the dash apart. We agreed on a price although I wasn’t happy and I was told it would be done in a couple of days.A week later I called to see the status of my vehicle and I was told by the same associate that it would be done sometime today and I could pick it up in the afternoon. She claims that they ordered the wrong wiring harness. I drove the 40 miles to pick up my vehicle to see that there was a foot of snow on the drivers door, to where you could not even access the door handle, proving that no one had worked on the vehicle on that day. When I went in to settle up the bill I found out that they added an additional hundred dollars. The total was unauthorized. I took away from this as I was paying my bill the education of what I was dealing with, and the fact that I would never be there again. As I get in my truck I find the new problem of my electronic seats not working, which absolutely worked upon me dropping the vehicle off. I called the dealership and asked for the same service associate that I have been dealing with. She informed me that they would have nothing to do with fixing the new issue, and although they ordered the wrong harness, and had to pull what she claims to be the whole dash apart, the reason that the seats are not working it’s not their responsibility. One issue, on its own, is a little inconvenience, and can be chalked up to just being human. Everything that I have endured through this transition plus the extra monetary loss and The fact that I was absolutely lied to about my vehicle being worked on that day will have me recommending that people do their business elsewhere.
