I bought a used vehicle here (and I was told it was a trade-in) and my experience was not great. First of all, I was pretty much forced to buy their under-coating package (which added $1,995.00 to the price of the vehicle). I was told that if I didn't want to purchase this and someone else came in for the same vehicle that would purchase the package, they would sell the vehicle to the other person. Then, I had the vehicle for about 2 weeks and got a warning about a powertrain malfunction. I stopped into the dealership and the only thing I was asked was if I purchased a warranty. I did not because I have not had the greatest experience in the past regarding vehicle warranties and have learned that they are a waste. I was told they would not help me with this because I did not purchase the warranty and they set me up with an appointment with their service department to see what the issue was for the next day. That night the light went off so I cancelled the service appointment. Two days later I got the same warning light and now my engine light came on, and my Turbo stopped working. It was after hours so I had my personal mechanic check the code and it came back that my Turbo went out. I was told that this would be a major repair and to contact the dealership to see if they would be able to help with the cost since I had only owned the vehicle for 3 weeks. I called and left messages for the general manager to contact me and to this date, I have heard nothing. I understand that I did not purchase the warranty, and with my experience with warranties, more than likely the warranty wouldn't cover this repair anyway. My issue with this whole situation is that when you buy a new or used vehicle, it should be a decent vehicle, and the dealership has done their job to make sure they are selling decent vehicles. It's kind of an expectation that you shouldn't have to worry about major repairs for a while. Like I have said, I have only owned the vehicle for 3 weeks...I don't even have plates on it yet. And I wasn't looking for them to cover the whole cost of the repair, but just to help me out with it...for good faith. I spent a good chunk of money on this vehicle and now I have to spend another chunk of money to get it fixed. Maybe they should inspect the trade-ins that they get in (or maybe they did and knew about this issue) so they don't pass on to their customers.
