Bought an suv from them.

Reviewed by Brad360554October 02, 2025

Bought an suv from them. Didn’t check it over much at the store because I didn’t expect to get screwed over so bad at a chevrolet dealership. And they preached about their multi point inspection and how good and ready to go the vehicle was. And they add on over 1k dollar addendum to pay for it. Salesman gets in with you for a test drive and takes you on a pre selected short route. Assuming they don’t want you to have enough time with it to figure out that it’s about to fall apart. Barely enough time to get a feel for the vehicle. Seemed good then. Try to set up the on star in the lot with the salesman, the mic wasn’t picking our voices up. Asked him if I couldn’t get it to work could I bring it back and get it taken care of. He said yep no problem. Wife drives it to work the next day on back roads and hears clunking noise and the rear of the car wanted to slide when going over bumps on a corner. Real safe. Jack it up, bolt holding the strut on is about to fall out. So I go in and show pictures. Sales manager says to bring it in the and they will check it out. Service suspension light comes in that night. Take it in that Monday. Get a call with him saying everything is just fine. Ask him about the microphone. Tells me his salesman was new and spoke out of line. I told him I get it but the guy told me they’d look at it. So he said finally agreed to have it diagnosed. Also tells me that I bought it as is and they have to draw a line somewhere. When they haven’t fixed anything yet. I made them a list of what was wrong with it. They didn’t care. Call the service department a day later. He knows nothing about the microphone. Says all the suspension hardware is tight. (Because I put a new bolt in so we didn’t wreck on the way there)wants to charge me to look the service suspension light because it is not a safety concern. 😐I know I bought it as is, but not two days in I have a loose bolt holding strut on, service suspension light, sunroof works when it wants to, microphone doesn’t work (was promised it’d get fixed)… but wasn’t even addressed. radio doesn’t slide up like it should, there’s oil on the frame rail coming from somewhere up front, axle shaft boots(inner and outter) are ripped throwing grease everywhere, upper ball joint boot is ripped letting grease out. Trim pieces on the window start flapping in the wind over 60mph. All over the road when you hit bumps. They had the car for three days and did nothing. 45 minute drive for me each way. I don’t blame the salesman at all as I was his first sale, I’m sure he was excited. Their service department is so proud of the multi point inspection. it took me thirty seconds to find a finger tight critical bolt with a jack. I don’t think any of them in there know what they’re doing besides changing oil. Unless their multi point inspection requires a blindfold. I finally had to tell him to make sure it was outside with the keys in it so I didn’t have to speak to anyone in that building again. Sales manager is a joke. He will tell you what you want to hear and then not follow through. All they care about is making the sale and then kicking you to the curb. No matter what it cost the customer to actually make the car right after they sign that as is form. Telling me he didn’t make enough money in the sale and my trade in to start fixing things. Yeah, ok. Absolutely zero morals. Must be how you get ahead in that building, by how many people you can screw over. I should have taken it to a real mechanic shop and had them look it over before buying. Lesson learned. Don’t buy a used car from them unless you’re ready to drop thousands into it to get it fixed and being treated like you’re the bad guy for being upset. I’ve bought used cars from dealers before, got home and noticed something wrong, taken it back and they take care of it for me without an issue. Not this place. Once you leave that lot they are done with you. I’ll be sure to let everyone know that I can’t how bad this place is.

My sales person was Ella, she was amazing. She immediately came out to me and helped me look for the right car for me. I got a 2016 Hyundai tocson. The car is very nice and has all the bells and whistles I was looking for. Ella was very patient with me even when I hesitate about certain things. Great service at lakeside Chevrolet.
