In the past year, the turn over of service staff is unbelievable. I HAD been a customer for over 30 years; I will buy and service some place else. I even looked at the Secretary of State for their corporation status. It is not even in good standing. The service personal listed below are not even still there.

Buyer beware
We are from central Wisconsin. I called the dealership. I asked to speak with a manager. The manager called me about an hour later. I told him we would be driving 4 hours if we would come to see the vehicle. I asked if there was anything wrong with the vehicle, wanted to make sure we weren’t wasting our time driving if issues with vehicle. He made a statement like, well mam we have been in business since the 70’s and if we had bad vehicles sold on our lot we wouldn’t still be in business. I asked for the inspection sheet, and he said he didn’t have it in front of him. My fault for not pursuing farther. I talked to my husband and he and my daughter decided to drive there. They took it for a drive and when hitting the brake noticed immediately that the brakes “growled”. The front window also had a big mark embedded into the glass from the wind shield wiper. My husband did like the vehicle and decided to ask for a discount of $1000 for the repairs. Mitch talked with Phil(manager). Phil talked with my husband about meeting ½ way, $400. My husband decided to purchase the car with the discount given. Paperwork was signed. When my husband was ready to leave, he was handed one key. My husband questioned why one key. They said only got one key when received vehicle. Why wasn’t this told to my husband before buying the vehicle? Why didn’t they order a 2nd key before selling the vehicle? Now 3 issues that were not told to me in the morning. Very dishonest. We took the vehicle to our local repair shop. We discovered $1000 worth of repairs, front struts were leaking, and front drive shaft needed replacing. I can’t imagine the dealership didn’t know of these issues. The salesman had text me and said let him know if anything he could do. I wrote back about the disappointment in finding another $1000 in repairs. Asked about why repairs weren’t done and if inspection had been done. I was told inspection was done and vehicle was discounted, also told car was sold as is, risk you take when purchasing older vehicles. Very poor business practice to not disclose major issues. I then emailed Phil(manager), and Mike(general manager) about the issues. I never heard back from Phil, but Mike wrote back saying he would call me the next day to discuss. I emailed back for no and March 28th would work. That day came and went and still have never received a call from Mike. Unbelievable to me how they don’t care.

I am writing this review so others can be aware of the poor quality of service at this dealership. My husband and I are very disappointed with the dealership. We were looking for a used car. We came upon the Don McCue dealership in IL. We are from central Wisconsin, so would be a 4-hour drive. I called the dealership and was contacted by an assistant who was helpful but didn’t know specifics about vehicle. I asked to speak with a manager with some questions regarding the vehicle. The manager, I believe Phil, called me about an hour later. I asked about the mileage listed on the vehicle. Also told him we were driving 4 hours if we would come to see the vehicle. I talked to my husband and he and my daughter decided to drive there and look at it. When they got there, they met the assistant who took them to the salesman, Mitch. They took it for a drive and when hitting the brake noticed immediately that the brakes “growled”. So, 1st issue that was not told to me by the manager. The front window also had a big mark embedded into the glass from the wind shield wiper. 2nd issue not told to me. My husband did like the vehicle and decided to ask for a discounted price of $1000 because of the new brakes and windshield needed. Mitch talked with Phil, one of the managers. Phil talked with my husband about meeting ½ way with the price of the vehicle. Phil came back with $400. Not sure how that is ½ way. My husband decided to purchase the car with the discount given. Paperwork was signed. When my husband and daughter were ready to leave, they were handed only one key. My husband questioned why only one key. They said only got one key when received vehicle. Why wasn’t this told to my husband before buying the vehicle? A new key is $200-400. Why didn’t they order a 2nd key before selling the vehicle? Now we had 3 issues that were not told to me by the manager in the morning. Not saying we wouldn’t have bought the vehicle but very dishonest about not letting us know the issues before we drove down there. We took the vehicle to our local repair shop to look over. We then discovered another $1000 worth of repairs needed. The front struts were leaking, and front drive shaft needed to be replaced. None of this was mentioned when I talked with the manager that morning or when my husband and daughter went there. Again, very dishonest, I can’t imagine the dealership didn’t know of these issues. If the vehicle was a trade or bought at an auction, they would have known the issues. I was going to call the dealership about the issues, but the salesman had messaged me by text March 18th and said let him know if anything he could do. I wrote back about the disappointment in finding another $1000 in repairs needed. Asked about why repairs weren’t done and if inspection had been done. I was told inspection was done and vehicle was discounted, also told car was sold as is, risk you take when purchasing older vehicles. Again, I understand that, but very poor business practice to not disclose major issues I also was not offered to talk with management, which is a good customer service practice. We messaged back and forth, and I told him to call me directly, which never happened. On the 24th of March, I emailed Phil(manager), and Mike(general manager) about the issues. I never heard back from Phil, but Mike wrote back saying he would call me the next day to discuss. He would also have Mitch in the room. I emailed him back stating that day wouldn’t work. He then asked about March 28th. I messaged back to say that would work. I never received an “ok” back. That day came and went and still have never received a call from Mike. Unbelievable to me how they don’t care about customer service. I am guessing they didn’t care since we were from WI and wouldn’t be probably coming back.
