They were able to squeeze my car in for repair but it was there 5 days. I am not sure if all the work they did was necessary. Even though i have an extended warranty they said not of the repairs were covered.

I’ve been in the car business for over 8 years, including
I’ve been in the car business for over 8 years, including time behind the finance desk, and I’ve never encountered anything as unprofessional, misleading, and frustrating as my experience with Mike Anderson Chevrolet. I purchased a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 from them earlier this year, and what should have been a smooth transaction turned into a months-long nightmare that I am still dealing with to this day. 🚩 Deceptive Sales Process I first contacted the dealership on January 31st after finding the truck listed on their website. It was advertised as a Chevrolet Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicle — this was a major selling point for me. After discussing financing and pricing, the salesman later told me that the truck was not actually certified — but "pre-certified" — and that the advertised CPO status would cost me an additional $1,995. Not only was that never disclosed upfront, but it was in direct contradiction to the listing on their own site and the vehicle's Carfax report. 📸 I will attach a screenshot of the listing clearly showing that the truck was advertised as Chevrolet Certified, as well as documentation from the Carfax. This kind of bait-and-switch is deceptive and dishonest. It’s a tactic designed to artificially inflate profit by misrepresenting what's included in the advertised price. 💸 Predatory Financing Pressure Originally, I planned to use my own credit union. Then I noticed the dealership’s website offered a Capital One pre-approval tool, and I already had a pre-approval with Capital One, who is one of their advertised preferred lenders. 📸 I’ll also attach a screenshot showing their website promoting Capital One Auto Navigator. I told them Capital One was the only bank I wanted my credit submitted to, and they said that would be no problem. Then, out of nowhere, the sales manager refused to sell me the truck at all unless I financed through GM Financial. Not only did he pull the discount, he outright refused to sell the vehicle unless I used a lender of his choosing. This was an absolutely outrageous abuse of power and a blatant attempt to maximize back-end profit through a higher interest rate. (Which, by the way, was nearly 5% higher than what I was already approved for.) I went through with the financing — fully knowing I would immediately refinance — but the entire transaction left me disgusted. 🚚 Post-Sale Neglect & Tag Delays I signed paperwork on Feb. 18. The truck was delivered on Feb. 25 — with no temporary tag, making it illegal to drive. I didn’t receive a temp tag until Feb. 27 after repeated follow-ups. As part of the out-of-state sale, the dealership used a third-party registration company (ATC), a company I’ve worked with many times. They’re efficient — when the dealership provides what’s needed. But after my sale, I received zero updates on my permanent registration. I started asking about my plates on March 31st, and despite dozens of calls, voicemails, and emails — not one person from finance or the title department has responded to this day. I’ve left countless voicemails and received nothing back. It's now been over four months. My first temp tag was about to expire, and even then, I had to beg for a second one. I sent messages on May 21, May 25, May 27, and finally on May 31 — two days after my tag expired — I got a response with another excuse. I didn't receive the second temp tag until June 2nd. Out of desperation, I even emailed seven different managers listed on their website. Not a single one responded. ⚠️ Final Thoughts This entire experience has been a masterclass in how not to run a dealership. I’ve never encountered such a blatant disregard for honesty, professionalism, or customer follow-up. If they’re willing to treat a knowledgeable, experienced buyer like this — I shudder to think how they treat customers who aren’t familiar with the process. I have filed complaints with the: Better Business Bureau Chicago Automobile Trade Association Illinois Auto

To All People Thinking About Buying A Car At Mike
To All People Thinking About Buying A Car At Mike Anderson Chevrolet In Chicago, Please think twice about going to Anderson Chevrolet in Chicago; there are too many Chevrolet dealers to choose from, and I think after you read my sad story you will agree and try a dealership other than Anderson. In September of 2024, I bought a brand-new Equinox from Anderson in Chicago. My car should have come with new floor mats and as part of my agreed upon deal new mud flaps. I did not get the floor mats until March of 2025. The new mud flaps also did not get put on my car until late March/early April of 2025. My closing date for the purchase was late September of 2024 and yet, I had to wait 5-6 months for these two items. At closing, which was a Friday in late September, I made a bad decision and agreed to STOP GAP and an extended warranty, which I was told I could cancel at any time. The interesting thing is that the finance person (EDGAR) did not show me the document, which showed an extra cost of $5,000.00 That evening, I received an e-mail from the bank showing this extra cost and the following Tuesday I drove to Anderson and cancelled the STOP GAP and extended warranty. In this day and age of e-mails, texts, etc. one would think the bank would receive the info regarding the cancellation immediately. Now, let’s move ahead to the end of October and the bank is still telling me they have not heard anything regarding my cancellation. At this point, I pay the bank for the car – all except the STOP GAP and extended warranty, which I believe I have cancelled. My first payment is due in early November, which I pay because I do not want my new car booted or towed away because I have not made this November payment. The dealership again tells me they have sent notice to the bank. December and January come and go – and still the bank claims they have heard nothing from the dealership. This results in two more payments for STOP GAP and extended warranty, which I had cancelled in late September of 2024. Finally, in April of 2025 I receive notice from the bank that they had received notice of the cancelled STOP GAP and extended warranty and that I had a zero balance. Yet, I had made three payments to the bank, which of course they do not want to return — all because the dealership did not let the bank know about the cancellation in a timely fashion. Now all I need is my title to my new car which once again is an adventure that I have to take care of on my own. Anderson claims they sent the tile to the bank and the bank claims they never received the title. It is now April of 2025, and I paid this car off at the end of October 2024 and STILL NO TITLE Now that you have read my story, you tell me if you still want to look for a car at Anderson in Chicago.
