Unprofessional, inconsistent, and misleading experience. I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with this dealership was unacceptable and deserves to be known. I was negotiating on a used 2018 Mustang GT PP2 where we agreed on the price multiple times, including a final “all-in” number ($39000 OTD) before tax/title. Everything seemed settled until the dealership suddenly reversed their position and insisted on running a credit check even after confirming in writing and verbally that no credit pull would be required since I was using my own financing. They justified this change by implying they needed to verify I “wasn’t a scammer,” which was unnecessary, unprofessional, and frankly insulting. Despite already having provided ID, address, and being fully prepared to complete the purchase, the dealership stalled, contradicted themselves, and ultimately went silent for nearly a week after they reached out to revive the deal. If they no longer wanted to honor the agreed terms, they could have simply communicated that. Instead, they wasted significant time, caused me to pay for an inspection that became unnecessary, and then disappeared without closure. This dealership lacks transparency, consistency, and basic professionalism. Buyers deserve better. Proceed with caution.

We follow established company policies for a reason, to protect our customers, protect the dealership, and ensure every transaction is handled safely and correctly. Regarding the credit check, we understand why it may have seemed unnecessary since you planned to use your own financing. However, running a credit report is an essential part of our identity-verification process. This step helps safeguard customers from identity theft and protects the dealership from potential fraud. As part of our company policy, we run credit on every customer who has not previously done business with us, regardless of the financing method. This applies to all out-of-state transactions as well. In our experience, out-of-state customers recognize that long-distance transactions require mutual trust, and this verification is one of the ways we establish that trust. We also want to clarify the situation regarding the inspection. While you did contact a third-party company to inspect the vehicle, when they called us to schedule the appointment, we informed them to cancel because we had not finalized a deal. They confirmed with us that they would cancel the inspection. If that company charged you and failed to notify you that the inspection never occurred, that is an issue between you and the inspection service. The dealership did not request the inspection, did not participate in it, and did not receive any payment from you or from them. Lastly, we acknowledge that our communication could have been clearer and more consistent throughout the process. You deserved timely updates and straightforward explanations, and we regret any delays or confusion that contributed to your frustration. We are reviewing this situation internally to improve transparency and ensure a smoother experience moving forward. We are sincerely sorry that we had a difference of opinion in this case, and it is unfortunate that the situation unfolded the way it did.
