Eight trims are available for the coupe body style: 1LS, 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, LT1, 1SS, 2SS, and ZL1. The convertible has the same trims except for the base 1LS.
Powering the Camaro is a standard 275-hp, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a standard six-speed manual transmission or an optional eight-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive. A more powerful 335-hp, 3.6-liter V-6 is also available for the 1LT and 2LT trims. The 1SS and 2SS trims come with a 455-hp, 6.2-liter V-8. Finally, the ZL1 is powered by a 650-hp, supercharged 6.2-liter V-8. V-6 models come equipped with the ten-speed automatic transmission. The ten-speed automatic is also available for the V-8 models.
