Serpentini Chevrolet of Orrville May 31, 2025 BW I
Serpentini Chevrolet of Orrville May 31, 2025 BW I inquired about a vehicle from this dealership and started receiving what appeared to be automated (BOT or VA) responses from "Adam Shilling'. This name is listed in the company's list of employees, but the emails I have been receiving don't appear to be created by human hands. Very generic and broad in nature. I have responded several time with questions, but a few days later I get another email with very general statements and no answers to my questions. While I understand automated systems to manage incoming inquires, at some point if they want to sell an advertised vehicle you would think there would be a real response to potential customer inquires. Update: Not sure what is going on with this dealership. I have been trying to communicate with them for a couple of weeks now and previously got nothing but automated responses from an email account claiming to be 'Adam Shilling'. After getting a bit ornery in an email, I finally received an actual (not automated) response that stated "I want to refer you to my long distance specialist". Given that I am 150 miles away, I understand if this dealership has a specialist for non local sales. However, I have yet to receive ANY communication from anyone else. Given this Adam Shilling has yet to demonstrate any ability to do his job for this company, I highly doubt he forwarded my contact info to anyone. What is sad is that I was ready to purchase this vehicle at the time I first inquired. Now the price is 1600 lower, this dealership is not intelligent enough to understand even if I purchase today, they lose that 1600. Apparently they don't want to sell vehicles. I am still waiting.

Set up an appointment to look at a used F-150 they had listed. Told them to pre-qualify( soft pull) me and that I would be there at my appointment time. They called and woke me up the next morning which is fine, confirmed they had the truck in stock and everything was looking fine. Received a text from them about an hour and a half before the appointment making sure I was still going to be there. Told them I would be or very close as I was at a dental appointment at the time. Received another text half hour later informing me they had sold the truck an hour ago. So I take a night off work to come check out a vehicle that I had an appointment set up in advance to view, only to have them sell it out from under me and to top it all off they hard pulled my credit to 3 different lenders when I told them I wanted pre qualify soft pull only. Will not be doing future business with them and also spreading the word to friends and family currently in the market for a vehicle to go else where.
