Not happy

Reviewed by Not happy from Syracuse nyMay 11, 2021

I recently purchased a truck from this place it’s a 2020. With warranty issues being voided from there shady repair work. I’ve even called on numerous occasions and getting the run around from the salesman who sold me the car and service manger. I highly would not recommend this place to anyone.

So I find Burritt on cars.com, me and my young family were looking to upgrade our car. We chose a 2013 Chevy Malibu which after I signed all of the paperwork and paid cash for the vehicle they informed me that there was a “minor” recall and my vehicle would be ready in a couple weeks.. after a month I called them to inquire how the car was coming and I was told that they couldn’t give me a time frame whatsoever on when they could get the part for the recall. At that point I brought up concerns about the 60 lemon law warranty being up before I even got to drive the car. There answer to me was that I should have bought a warranty. So I researched the law and it states that for every day the car is in the shop it doesn’t go towards the 60 day federal lemon law warranty. When I informed them of this they said it’s not true but they would give me a 30 day warranty whenever the car was ready. At that point I asked for my money back. They then said to give them a week to try and accommodate me with a different car i would like. After a week they called me and said they had a 2012 impala with 100,000 miles on it. I traded in a 2008 impala with 100,000 miles to them for 2000. So basically they were trying to give me the same car, so anyways after a ton of back and forth with my initial sales guy Vince, who was always nice and I feel bad they made him deal with everything. Basically me my girlfriend and my 2 year old daughter sat in front of the dealership in our car and waited an hour because some guy named mike from finance was the only one who could answer when I could get my money back was unavailable and uncontactable. This is after calling 5-10 times and driving from Syracuse to Oswego once. Finally they found my old impala and refunded me. But it gets better. They had signed the back of my title so I couldn’t trade in or sell my impala until I got a new title. So I paid 60$ to have a new title sent, then after a couple days I was told they forgot to have me sign something so I had to go back. I was told the title would be mailed to my house. But as I’m writing this my girlfriend had to drive to Oswego, literally 56 minutes away to go pick it up at burritt motors. I get that things happen and recalls happen, or life happens.. I get it man I really do. They just handled the situation with so much unnecessary xxxxxxxx, an who has time for that. They treated me like last weeks news, or a issue with an old pipe in ur basement they just didn’t want to deal with. Luckily I was able to buy a 2016 Chevy impala ltz for the same price they were charging me for the Malibu. So I guess all is well that ends well. But don’t think just because they are a big dealership they are a good one. Because that’s what I did. There management especially Jim and mike are a joke and should be fired. I went to a small dealership lk 20 cars or less out in auburn and got a car I absolutely love and it took less than an hour. Good luck

Called to set up an appointment for the next day to look at a car. When the day came thankfully I pulled up the information on the car only to learn the price jumped $1500 overnight. Will never do business with such a shady company then when I called to inquire why such a jump in price the guy had the audacity to blame third party web sites when I saw the price matched between their own website to cars.Com. Do yourself a favor and do not use this dealership.
