On Wednesday December 11, 2024 I took my vehicle (2017
On Wednesday December 11, 2024 I took my vehicle (2017 Chevrolet Trax) to the Todd Wenzel Service Center at the Dealership for an Oil Change / Tire Rotation. Upon completion of the Oil Change and Tire Rotation I verified with the service manager that there were no leaks or any repairs needed to my vehicle. He confirmed. As soon as Wednesday afternoon and the morning of December 12, 2024 I could smell oil coming through the vents of my vehicle and it became progressively worst. On Monday December 16, 2024 I went back to the dealership to inquire about the oil smell. I told the service manager I had the 100,000 mile maintenance done on my vehicle last year and took good care of my vehicle. He then brought me to the shop floor to show me the issue with my vehicle. While walking through the shop floor the service manager stated "You said you had some work done recently its possible someone bumped your oil cooler or damaged it somehow" and I said "I haven't had any work done other than the oil change! The maintenance was done last year." THEY DAMAGED MY OIL COOLER. I know for a fact my car was NOT leaking prior to the Oil Change Service done on Wednesday December 12, 2024 and the dealership confirmed that with me. I have reached out to the dealership to no avail. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well as General Motors regarding this. What should have been a simple $100 oil change has turned into a $2000 fiasco!!!
Dealer Response
Thank you for reaching out to us and sharing your concerns regarding the oil leak. We understand how frustrating this situation must be, and we genuinely appreciate your patience. Upon reviewing your case, we’ve carefully examined the details of the situation and would like to clarify a few points. From our investigation and previous discussions, it appears that the oil leak stems from work performed by another dealership prior to your visit to us. Unfortunately, since the issue originates from that prior work, we are not responsible for the repair costs. While we understand that this may be disappointing, we are not obligated to cover the repair expenses for an issue that arose from external work. Regarding the communication concerns, I’d like to assure you that we have made an effort to keep in contact with you. We have spoken with you directly on at least three separate occasions to address your concerns, and we have always aimed to provide clarity and assistance throughout the process. If you feel there has been a gap in communication, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and will make sure to be more responsive moving forward. We genuinely value you as a customer and would be happy to assist you with any questions or guidance regarding the next steps for resolving the oil leak. Please let us know how we can help, and we will do our best to ensure your concerns are addressed promptly.

After leasing a Buick, I never received any GM Rewards.
After leasing a Buick, I never received any GM Rewards. Called and texted several people at the dealership over a period of a few days about this issue. I never received a response until Shayla Kwekel called me. Her job is just to deliver cars to customers. But she took it upon herself to contact GM and get my rewards. She is the best. Thanks Shayla.
