Buyer beware!!!

Reviewed by Scott Hammons in Belleville MISeptember 12, 2019

Buyer beware!!! Buyer beware!!! I live in Michigan. I saw the Jeep Wrangler that I really liked at the Warsaw Indiana dealership. 2018 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon JL fully loaded $45,000. When I looked at the Carfax it showed that it went into the dealer 6 times for the steering and suspension to be checked. So before I bought the vehicle I asked the salesman to check on it. He went and talk to his sales manager’s and they said “everything was fine with it. It had 125 point inspection done on it.” I asked several times to make sure that it’s all under warranty in case I have any problems. Frank my salesman promised up-and-down “yes It has a warranty. It’s all covered bumper-to-bumper 36,000 miles or three years.” I asked again that covers the suspension and steering? Frank said “yes I asked my manager. If you have any problems it’s covered.” After only having it a couple days it had death wobble. That’s when you hit a bump the steering wheel jumps back-and-forth very hard almost getting into an accident. It will not stop until the vehicle comes to a complete stop. Very scary experience when you have your family in the Jeep with you. I took it to my local dealer and they said it wasn’t under warranty because it has aftermarket steering components on it. Come to find out the dealership that worked on it before was trying to fix death wobble. So that dealership split the cost with the old owner to put Yeti Steeresmart tie-rod, drag link and track bar to fix the death wobble. That is what voided my warranty. The reason I know this is because I called the old dealership and talk to the service manager. So I was lied to by the sales team at Warsaw Indiana dealership about the warranty. The mechanics that did the inspection should’ve let the sales team know that there was yeti Steeresmarts Parts on this. There would not be a warranty on the steering and suspension. I called Warsaw Indiana and they asked me if I could bring it out to them and they would fix it. I paid for my Jeep Wrangler to get towed out there 200 miles. They had it for 2 1/2 weeks and put a relocating bracket on it to push the caster out to 6 degrees. Seam to fix the problem. I had it for a couple more months and it started happening again. “Death Wobble” Now Warsaw Indiana does not want to fix it. Everybody I spoke with at the dealer couldn’t believe what happened and they all felt sorry for me until I spoke to the general manager. The general manager (Ted Nine) was the rudest person I dealt with out of the whole ordeal. His solution was “if I paid for all the OEM parts and labor. That it would put the Jeep back to factory and it would be under warranty again.” Which would cost me about $2500-$3500. Or that he “would buy my Jeep back” but I had to lose $4,000-$5,000 in the whole process. He said “because he had to pay his employees” (the ones that all lied to me) “a little over $1600 and $0.25 a mile. If not I was on my own.” Worst experience ever. The general manager (Ted Nine) was short with me and very rude. I don’t wish this upon anybody. So I guess the buyer supposed to crawl underneath the vehicles to make sure there’s no aftermarket parts. Or your warranty will be void. Hopefully you know what you’re looking for. So here I own a $45,000 jeep that I have to go fix up because I was lied to.

Great Service!!

Offered me a multi-service deal that the dealership where the vehicle was purchased never did, saving me $30 on two services. Liked the thorough explanations of the checks they performed.

Jon Riewoldt experience

Reviewed by bmace.... another satisfied customer in Bourbon, IndianaFebruary 27, 2016

I recently purchased a 2016 Buick Enclave at Warsaw Buick/GMC. Salesman Jon Riewoldt was fantastic to say the least from start to finish during the entire buying experience. I actually began the new car search about six months ago. Throughout the process Jon was both patient and helpful in assisting me in finding the vehicle to meet my needs. His knowledge and understanding of the features of the vehicles that I considered was exemplary. He was able to locate from another dealership the vehicle that had all of the features that I wanted in the 2016 Buick Enclave. He made me feel very comfortable knowing that I was getting the best deal possible and that the auto that I purchased was exactly what I wanted. The closing of the purchase was handled in an expedient manner. Before I left the dealership with my new vehicle, Jon made sure that I had a complete knowledge of the many features available on my new ride. He also made sure that I was familiar with the location of and benefits of having my new vehicle serviced at the Warsaw Buick/GMC service department. All in all Jon made my new auto purchase experience a great one. Customer service and satisfaction without high pressure sales tactics; What a refreshing experience!
