If you want a headache and to have the worst experience ever, come here!
We bought two cars from here, within a coupe of months. Sadly, the first car was rear ended and totaled.
Morgan Gerken was so sweet to our face. However, when we needed our easy care pamphlet sent to us or even texted to us, it was never done. She even wrote my name incorrectly on the paperwork we signed. She once responded to a text thinking I was someone else, but when I told her who I was, she was like oh yeah, I will send it to you, but I am still waiting since September 2020. Then when the car was totaled, we were told we can get a refund for the service and maintenance car packages we bought. We told her we wanted it and I sent her all the information she requested by email. Then after a week or so, when we came back to buy the second car, she was like do you want me to still file it? Are you serious? We were told the wait would be 4-6 weeks.
The second time we went back, we did not even get an acknowledgement from Corey Hayward. He was the one that initially helped us buy the first car and seemed so ‘cool.’ Well he could not be bothered with us this time around. Maybe we are not good enough for him? Not spending enough money? The one text and email message regarding promised items was just ignored. I even got him on the phone once and his tone was so rude and annoyed. Almost like how dare you call me!
Next we got Salvatore Buzzetta. He seemed nice, too. I thought it was very kind of them to offer to send us a manual and wheel locks. A month went by and I heard nothing/received nothing in the mail. So, that is when the 24 emails back and forth happened. Not once did Salvatore say I am sorry it is taking so long. I had to follow up every single time and basically beg for these items that were promised to us. They were going to fix a couple of things on the car, too. We were told someone will reach out to us in a week or two. Nothing! My son had to call and make the appointment!
Then we have Anthony Razzouki. Again, nice to our faces. We waited for our refunds from mid-Sept to late-Dec/early-Jan. I called Steve Marshalek once about it and I apparently bothered him, by asking about the refund. So, I did not ‘bother’ him again.
I emailed Anthony and told him there is a huge issue with my refund. He said he would call me in the morning. The next day comes around, and I do not hear from him. So, I call BMW of Vista. I get the run around. I emailed Anthony and told him I need to speak to his manager immediately or I will call corporate. In between this time, I decided to call BMW of Vista one more time and I got Mathew Van Lierop.
Mathew did listen. Tell me why and how all of a sudden this check we have been waiting for now all of a sudden is being printed the next day? All the issues I mentioned, Mathew had a reason or explanation for each one BUT NEVER said I am sorry! There is not one decent human being in this location. If management can not say sorry, then why would any of the workers? They learn from their managers.
There is an aura here of I am so high and mighty, I work at BMW and my ego is the size of Planet Earth. Not even say I am sorry that you have had to deal with this. I only got well this takes this long and we should have communicated it with you. Obviously! I even told him I would really appreciate someone owning up to a mistake and being humble. Never, not once, did I hear I am sorry.
Then we find out that the oil changes can only be done at an Autonation location. Morgan told us we can take it anywhere. So she lied. Also, we never were told about a deductible with the third party warranty service. My son had to find out the hard way. When I asked Mathew about this, he just says yes you have a deductible. I said so Morgan lied to us about the oil changes and warranty? He does not say anything. Mathew is completely unapologetic.
This is why it is better to just go to corporate right away. Being kind gets you nowhere.
Absolute Best Car Leasing Experience Ever

Recently leased a BMW 5 series. I went in late on a Friday night...it was a surprise for my wife who didn't want to stay once she found out. BUT, the Mossy crew made her feel at home, important, and simply showed her around and she warmed up to the idea. Ray Smith met me as we came in after answering all my questions in the internet all day. He waited for us with no commitment that I could get her there. He took hours to show her an array of models while myself and my 4 children were treated to a relaxing time near the showroom with everything we needed. A true honey, personal experience overall with no pressure. Received a fair and extremely competitive price array on the lease without having to wait. Decision was easy to make because they made it so. Really felt like our business mattered to them and it was a family-like experience. I feel like as a result of our experience there with Ray Smith and the crew, we will take our business there every time. If you want a truly no-stress nice car shopping experience, Mossy BMW is not matched. I have had numerous car buying experiences serving 20 years in the USMC, and none came close to as good as we experienced at Mossy BMW.
