2016 Audi A5 Overview (See Available Styles)

  • Four-seat coupe or cabriolet (convertible)
  • New Audi Connect system available with navigation
  • Standard all-wheel drive on coupe models
The 2016 Audi A5 is a stylish two-door luxury sports car that is available in two body styles: coupe and cabriolet (soft-top convertible).

Both variants of the A5 seat four passengers and offer classic Audi styling. Audi has stuck with the same visual cues for the past few years and we’re not complaining; their cars remain modern and attractive, with a minimalism that is appealing. LED daytime running lights and taillights are standard, as are dual exhaust pipes, 18-inch alloys (19- and 20-inch wheels are optional), and automatic xenon headlights.

Under the hood, the A5 features the same engine that is also found in the A4 sedan, A3, and Q3. The 220-hp, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder is the only engine option. Coupe models get Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive system standard, but it is optional on the cabriolet. The coupe offers a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission, while the convertible pairs a CVT with front-wheel drive or the eight-speed with all-wheel drive. An adaptive suspension is available for those who are seeking a more refined driving experience.

Inside, the A5 adds the new Audi Connect system as a part of the available Navigation plus package. Audi Connect offers a wide array of services, including Wi-Fi hot spot capability via a 4G LTE connection, Google Earth and Street View integration, local searches, fuel prices, and the ability to plan routes ahead of time on a computer then send those destinations to the A5 remotely. Standard features include tri-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, power front seats, Bluetooth connectivity, a ten speaker stereo system, USB port, and a HomeLink garage door opener. The A5 offers a premium interior with excellent fit and finish, living up the quality expected from a German luxury car.  A Bang & Olufsen sound system, navigation, HD radio, and sport seats are optional.

Standard safety features include front, side-impact, and side-curtain (coupe only) airbags, antilock brakes, and electronic stability control. A parking system with rearview camera and rear parking sensor is available, as is a side assist blind spot warning sytem.
