Buying a used car can be painless

I called and asked about availability of a vehicle and Alan, GM, confirmed it was answered and a few questions. This vehicle seemed too good to be true. Nonetheless, I asked if he would give me a modest discount. He agreed. I drove 30 minutes to see/drive it. It was perfect. I told him I would return the next day with a check. Colton, salesperson, handled the delivery and everything went as planned. no surprises, no wasted time and quality service, a true 10. I love my car and Maserati of Akron. What a nice feeling.

Terrible Experience at Maserati of Akron / Ganley

I had absolutely terrible experience at Maserati of Akron (Ganley Auto) dealership. I was out of state buyer purchasing 2017 Porsche 718 Cayman S with 5,115 miles. Sales person whom I worked with, Colton, described vehicle as "9.5/10" condition. This being Maserati dealership, I figured the level of quality and attention to detail was higher than most. Unfortunately, after driving 12 hours to pick the vehicle up, I knew within 30 seconds the vehicle was completely misrepresented and Maserati of Akron and Colton downright lied about its condition. There were numerous scratches, poor quality touch ups, rock chips, all brake calipers paint chipped, and even broken parts. This Porsche looked and drove like it had 100,000 miles, not 5,115. Naturally, I walked away from this purchase, hopped in Uber, and rented a one way car rental to get back home. Neither Colton nor Maserati of Akron showed any remorse or offered any apologies or anything else to potentially fix this situation. I would have never expected this from Italian Exotics dealership which works with Maseratis and Ferraris. I would imagine the owners of those makes expect much higher quality of product and service than what was displayed in this situation. I wanted to make sure others do not fall into this situation, so be careful dealing with Maserati of Akron / Ganley Auto.

Dealers have been very helpful far as replying, no actual assistance tho in the future hope they help those trying to establish credit... The phone calls back are great but I’m still without a vehicle, it’s like they lift up to drop you
