2017 Acura ILX Overview (See Available Styles)

  • “Jewel-Eye” LED headlights come standard
  • Standard 8-speed automatic transmission
  • Multiple add-on packages are available
The 2017 Acura ILX is a compact sedan that competes with the Mazda Mazda3, Lexus IS 200t, and Infiniti Q50. This year, it remains largely unchanged.

The ILX does not have conventional trim level options. Instead, different exterior and interior packages can be added onto the ILX.

Last year, the ILX was fully redesigned in conjunction with Acura’s current design aesthetic. Flanking the front shield grille are headlight clusters that features “Jewel-Eye” LED headlights instead of traditional bulbs. There are five individual elements arranged in a line horizontally that give the ILX a unique look, especially at night. Other standard features include heated side mirrors and a power moonroof. An available A-SPEC package adds sportier design elements like front fog lights, side sills, a rear lip spoiler, and larger 18-inch alloy wheels.

Under the hood, the ILX is powered by a standard 201-hp, 2.4-liter direct injection 4-cylinder mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Fuel economy for the ILX is an EPA-estimated 25/35 mpg city/highway.

Inside, the ILX has a leatherette interior with power/heated front seats and a 60/40-split folding rear seat. The center stack features a standard Acura Audio System with Bluetooth connectivity for phone and audio and a USB port. The available Premium Package adds more convenience with a larger 8-inch display, iPhone AcuraLink app navigation, and Siri Eyes Mode. An ELS Studio premium audio system, a fully integrated navigation system, and voice command recognition are available with the Technology Plus Package. Other available features include perforated leather upholstery and an automatic dimming rearview mirror. Dual-zone automatic climate control, remote keyless entry, push-button start, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel come standard.

Six airbags, a rearview camera, antilock brakes, and electronic stability control come standard. The optional AcuraWatch Plus Package uses sensors to power an array of safety features including adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, lane departure warnings, road departure mitigation, and a collision mitigation braking system that can also detect pedestrians. A blindspot monitoring system and rear cross-traffic alert are available as well.

EPA Fuel Economy
