TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE (SERVICE DEPT)
I took my new car to Hall Acura Newport News for repair back in June 2022. I had more issues in July 2022 after I got my vehicle back. Piping that should’ve gotten fixed and replaced the first time I took my car in. Had that repaired and I noticed my car had a hissing noise when I got it back. I told the service manager about it and he claimed “that’s how I brought it in.” I never noticed this noise before. He claimed I “ tuned it” for it to sound like that. False accusations. I drove my vehicle, noticing some strange behavior while driving it. Long story short, and after one near accident and a tow to the dealership, turns out the piping connecting to the engine wasn’t even connected. Ended up paying over $6K for the total repairs. December 2022, I had my car towed to Hall Acura Newport News and they couldn’t find anything wrong even with full inspection. I took my vehicle to a third party mechanic and they told me that my vehicle had bolts and clips in the bottom of my engine bay. Also, there were missing clips in a trim piece and the bolts used on a piece of the engine were incorrect, causing one of them to get seized to the part. There was a missing piece on another part as well. Third party mechanic had fixed everything properly and my vehicle is running 100% smoothly. I spoke with Hall Acura Newport News and explained what happened to their General Manager. He is denying any fault of what happened and is even trying to say the third party mechanic was the one who removed and switched parts to charge me more. Mind you, he never charged me more than what his original estimate was not knowing the unknown issues with my car. The third party mechanic is a prior service member. I am a current service member. Hall Acura Newport News’s GM is exclaiming they completed the work I paid for. OVER $6,000 just to have my car have these hidden issues and missing parts? THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO HAVE TOUCHED MY CAR!! I reported Hall Acura Newport News to the BBB and Honda Corporation. Do not take your vehicle to them EVER!
Dealer Response
Daniel, thank you for your feedback. It is our understanding that you have been in contact with our General Manager, Joseph Festa, regarding your concerns. When the vehicle was brought to us in June 2022, we were able to diagnose that the root cause of the vehicle’s issues were aftermarket high-performance modifications that were installed by a third party causing the turbocharger failure. After we diagnosed the issue, the repairs were performed based on customer approval. After the vehicle was repaired, there were some lingering issues that could be expected from such a heavily modified vehicle and you were not charged for these subsequent repairs including the internally oil soaked hose from the turbo failure. As discussed with our General Manager, we are unable to provide a refund, as the repairs were approved by you prior to completion and all contracted work was completed. Thank you.

New Car Sales Dept Management is not honest...
The new car sales department wasted my time and have poor customer relations. Had me put $1000 down to try and secure a car from another dealer. The car was sold, and I was never notified as promised by close of business said day. Had to call the next day to find out the deal fell through. Then they tried to tell me they were looking at other dealerships trying to find the vehicle I wanted. Needless to say I requested my money back. These guys lie with a straight face, and knows how to waste customer's time.
