Unfortunately, this was the worst car-buying experience
Unfortunately, this was the worst car-buying experience I’ve ever had. Chevy Chase Acura added an additional $1,000+ charge for a vehicle coating without notifying me beforehand. When I questioned this charge and asked for it to be removed, the staff acted as if they were doing me a favor rather than correcting an issue that should never have occurred. During price negotiations, I was clearly told that the deal included a total of three complimentary oil changes. However, once I reached the finance office, I was informed that my salesperson had “relayed the information incorrectly,” and the promised oil changes were no longer being honored. To make matters worse, we had already agreed on a final purchase price prior to going into the finance office. At that point, the CPO manager told me he could not honor the price that had been given and refused to negotiate any further. This lack of transparency and consistency made the entire process frustrating and unprofessional. Overall, the experience felt misleading and disorganized, and it significantly undermined my trust in the dealership.

During the final signing of the paperwork, a charge for an "appearance warranty" totaling over $1000 was included without my prior knowledge or consent. When I brought this up and said I didn’t want the warranty that wasn’t on the sticker, I was told that it was a mandatory, non-negotiable charge and could not be taken off the bill. This deceptive practice inflated the final price of the vehicle and forced me to pay for a product I did not want or agree to. I believe this constitutes an unethical sales tactic.
