2014 Volvo XC90 Overview
The XC90 midsize luxury crossover has seating for up to seven people in three rows and offers a choice of front- or all-wheel drive. Competitors include the Acura MDX and Volkswagen Touareg.
New for 2014
New 19-inch alloy wheels are available, and the 3.2 R-Design version now comes with a folding front-passenger seat, digital compass, garage door opener and grocery bag holder.
The XC90 comes with 18-inch wheels standard, with 19 inch wheels available. Standard front fog lights, power-operated heated mirrors with turn signal indicators, power moonroof, headlight washers, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. The R-Design features a unique grill, with adaptive xenon high-intensity-discharge headlights available for all trims.
The luxury crossover features comfortable seating for up to seven in three rows. The second row features a built-in adjustable booster seat with the interior fitted with leather upholstery. Automatic dual-zone climate control comes standard, with available heated front seats, dual-screen rear-seat entertainment system, and navigation system with real-time traffic info.
Under the Hood
A 240-horsepower, 3.2-liter six-cylinder engine, in a six-speed automatic transmission with clutchless-manual mode powers the XC90. The vehicle comes in either front or all-wheel drive. The R-Design model gets a sport-tuned suspension with thicker front and rear stabilizer bars and firmer springs and struts.
Standard safety features include front-seat side-impact and side curtain airbags, antilock brakes with brake assist, and electronic stability system with Roll Stability Control. Additional blind spot warning system available.
