2011 Volvo XC90 Overview

Available in three trims: 3.2, 3.2 R-Design and V8, the 2011 XC90 rest atop the XC Series totem pole with two very capable engines. A 240-horsepower, 3.2-liter inline-six cranks out 236 pounds-feet of torque, while a low-emissions version, which is sold in select states, creates 230 horsepower and 221 pounds-feet of torque. Need more power? Opt for the 311-horsepower, 4.4-liter V-8 with 325 pounds-feet of torque. All engines are paired to a six-speed automatic transmission with clutchless-manual mode. The six-cylinder engines feature optional all-wheel drive, while it is standard in the V-8 trim. For tight handling and a quick response, the R-Design trim is fitted with a sport-tuned suspension with thicker front/rear stabilizer bars and firmer springs and struts.
