New 2010 Volvo XC90

From a brand famous for premium safety technologies, the 2010 Volvo XC90 midsize luxury crossover is also jam packed with more standard luxury features and increased versatility for 2010.

Available in either front- or all-wheel drive, a 235-horsepower, 3.2-liter in-line six-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission powers the 2010 Volvo XC90 3.2 and 3.2 R-Design models. The V-8 AWD model is equipped with a 311-horsepower, 4.4-liter V-8 engine also mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive with instant traction is standard and immediately delivers up to 50 percent more torque to the rear axle only when needed. Competing with the likes of the Acura MDX, BMW X5 and Cadillac SRX, the XC90 receives an EPA estimated fuel economy of 13-15 mpg in the city and 19-22 on the highway.

Introduced last year, the sporty R-Design features many exterior and interior styling upgrades, including 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, R-Design grille and leather seating surfaces. A new Dynamic Package includes 20-inch alloy wheels and dual xenon active bending headlights. V-8 AWD luxury features include heated front seats, headlamp washers, rain sensor windshield wipers and an interior air quality system (IAQS).

Every model is now equipped with seating for seven, leather trim, a power glass moonroof, rear park assist, third-row climate control and an integrated center booster cushion for the second-row seat. With all seats folded down, the 2010 Volvo XC90 offers up to 93.2 cubic feet of cargo room.

A new Multimedia Package offers a Dynaudio premium sound system with Dolby Pro-Logic II surround sound, 650-watt amplifier and 12 Dynaudio speakers, Sirius Satellite Radio and a navigation system with remote control and real-time traffic updates.

Standard safety features include roll stability control (RSC), dynamic stability and traction control (DSTC), side-impact protection system (SIPS) with side airbags and inflatable curtains for all three rows, an antilock braking system with electronic brake distribution and electronic brake assistance.
