2009 Volvo S80 Overview
Proving that the world's safest auto manufacturer can also provide striking performance, premium luxury and a sleek appearance, Volvo has sent us the 2009 Volvo S80.

The S80 is available in three trim levels: the 3.2 base model, the T6 and the V-8. The base model features a 3.2-liter, 235-horsepower I-6 engine, while the T6's turbocharged 3.0-liter, 281-horsepower I-6 adds more punch. However, if that isn't enough power for you, opt for the 4.4-liter, 311-horsepower V-8, Volvo's first in a sedan. All engines are mated to a six-speed transmission with manual shift functionality. The T6 and V-8 also come with all-wheel drive. Fuel economy for all the trims is mediocre with 15-16 MPG in the city and 22-25 MPG on the highway. The S80 competes with the BMW 528, Audi A6 and Saab 9-5.

When it comes to luxury, the S80 features standard real wood trim with optional wood steering wheel, massaging front seats and a rear refrigerator with two crystal glasses. Choose between 17- or 18-inch wheels, and get a moonroof, dual-zone climate control, leather steering wheel, shifter, seats, and Bluetooth connectivity as standard equipment. Volvo's optional Premium Sound System with Dynaudio features a 650-watt, 12-speaker surround-sound system with USB and MP3 capabilities. An optional dual-screen rear-seat entertainment system, heated front and rear seats, xenon headlights with articulating lenses, and navigation system with real traffic make sure that you and your company are comfortable and never bored.

Driver Alert Control and Lane Departure Warning alerts the driver when their car starts to veer into another lane. Collision Warning with Brake Support warns the diver if it senses that a collision may occur. Side-impact and side curtain airbags, antilock brakes and electronic stability and traction control also come standard. The Whiplash Protection System helps reduce the risk of long-term injuries by having the seat and headrest cradle your spine and neck in a controlled manner during an impact.

Feel safer, feel the turbocharged power, experience luxury and experience the 2009 Volvo S80.
