2010 Volkswagen CC Overview
It’s dangerously attractive, it’s quick, and it’s spacious: it’s the 2010 Volkswagen CC.

Quickness is delivered by a 200-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine or a 280-horsepower, 3.6-liter V-6. Both engines benefit from dual overhead camshafts, variable valve timing and direct injection technologies, while the V-6 also gets variable intake runner lengths for excellent power across the rpm band. Power is spun through a six speed manual, a six-speed automatic or a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. The drivetrain is finished off with front- or all-wheel drive. Fuel economy checks in at 17-22 mpg city and 25-31 mpg highway. Engines stand up to the two base Mercedes-Benz C-Class motors and beat the BMW 328 in the power category while offering better fuel economy.

Seductive coupe styling meets with a roomy sedan platform to give an interesting blend of spacious metrics. Headroom is less than a BMW 3 Series, but more than a Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the similarly-styled CLS-Class. Rear legroom, on the other hand, leaves all those others in the dust. A 13 cubic-foot trunk is smaller than the big sedans, but trumps typical entry-level luxury four-doors. Exterior excitement is heightened by a sunroof (standard on all but the 2.0-liter Sport model) as well as 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, four individual seats provide a balance of sport-support for exercising the performance-tuned suspension and long term comfort for grand touring. All models receive a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. The base model features chrome trim, leatherette seats and no navigation system, while the 2.0-liter Luxury and all V-6 models get brushed aluminum trim, delectable leather seats and the navigation system. This excellent and easy-to-use navigation system displays through a touch-screen that can also control USB-connected media devices. A rearview camera is also displayed through this screen.

Four-wheel disc brakes with antilock and brake assist features join the Electronic Stabilization Program to ensure the CC stops and maneuvers with little or no slip. Six airbags and seat belts with belt-force limiters help minimize passenger injury in the event of a crash, as does the excellent frame. The 2010 Volkswagen CC achieves Four- and Five-Star ratings in government testing.

Impressive style, power and efficiency are packaged with affordable luxury in the sleek 2010 Volkswagen CC.
