Price, Photos, Reviews & Features
2009 Volkswagen CC Overview
Classic German engineering just became sleeker and more luxurious. The brand-new 2009 Volkswagen CC takes the original platform of the Passat and adds more power and sophistication, giving drivers everywhere another reason to go German.

Available in three trims- Sport, Luxury and VR6 (Sport and 4Motion), the CC incorporates the platform and drivelines from the Passat. Although VW refers to the CC as a coupe because of its tapered rear, it is more akin to the styling of a sedan. The CC has two available engines: a 2.0-liter, 200-horsepower I-4 and a 3.6-liter, 280-horsepower V-6. The CC has both a six-speed automatic with Tiptronic shifting and a manual transmission. The VR6 4Motion is a 4-wheel drive system provides balanced, stable road handling on any type of surface and reacts faster than any professional driver could. The CC comes standard with sport-tuned suspension making those wicked corners and winding roads a piece of cake. The CC receives above average fuel economy with 17-21 MPG in the city and 25-31 MPG on the highway.

When it comes to exterior styling and interior amenities, the CC cannot be denied. Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS) comes standard with Bi-Xenon headlamps and turns the headlamps up to 15 degrees in the direction you’re heading. A power glass panoramic tilt sunroof allows for an open-air feel and comes standard on Luxury and VR6 trims. A 12-way power driver seat, auxiliary input jack and 6-disc in-dash CD changer with eight speakers come standard on all models. The Dynaudio stereo which features 10 speakers and 600 watts, and a navigation system are optional.  Leather sport seats, “brushed aluminum” trim and a 12-way passenger seat come standard on Luxury and VR6 models.

The VW CC's safety features come standard. These include six airbags, a deformable steering column, which collapses upon impact to help prevent injuries, and anti-intrusion side door beams, which are designed to absorb and redirect impact energy. Also standard are an anti-lock braking system, anti-slip regulation, electronic brake-pressure distribution, electronic stabilization program and park distance control, which warns the driver when the CC is getting to close to an object.

The Germans have really outdone themselves this time, making the 2009 Volkswagen CC the sleekest, safest and most fun Volkswagen yet.
