2014 Volkswagen Beetle Overview

Vehicle Overview
Offered as a hatchback or a convertible, the retro-themed Volkswagen Beetle can have either of two gas engines or a diesel. The Beetle seats up to four people and competitors include the Mini Cooper and Fiat 500. A limited-edition Beetle GSR is available.

Exterior Highlights
The New Beetle features a nostalgic retro-influenced styling, making it wide and longer than the previous-generation beetle. Available 19-inch wheels, panoramic moonroof, and rear spoiler optional.

Interior Highlights
The Beetle has front bucket seats and a two-person backseat. The rear seats feature split-folding for cargo versatility and the front has dual glove boxes. Additional features include an available oil temperature gauge, clock and boost gauge on the dashboard, touch-screen CD stereo and navigation, Fender premium stereo, and keyless access and push-button start.

Under the Hood
Base models have a 170-hp, turbo 1.8-liter gas four-cylinder engine, with a 140-hp, turbo-diesel 2.0-liter four-cylinder and 210-hp, turbo 2.0-liter gas four-cylinder engines available. Option for manual or automatic transmission available. All trims come front-wheel drive.
 
Safety Features
Side-impact airbags for the front seats, antilock brakes, and electronic stability system all come standard. Furthermore a backup camera is available for upgrade.
