Toyota Yaris vs. Kia Rio5 Review

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs almost the same to get the Kia Rio5 to the dealership as the Toyota Yaris. The Kia Rio5 won't tax your gasoline budget substantially more than the Toyota Yaris will. When it comes to gas mileage, the Toyota Yaris is somewhat better than the Kia Rio5, but not by much. The Toyota Yaris is significantly less expensive than the Kia Rio5 when it comes to MSRP.

Utility
The Toyota Yaris and the Rio5 can accommodate the same number of passengers.

Convenience
You definitely won't have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Kia Rio5 than with the Yaris, because both offer comparable mileage ranges.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Kia offers a bit more head room than the Toyota, there really isn't much of a difference. While the rear of the Kia Rio5 offers a bit more head- and leg-room than the Toyota Yaris, there honestly isn't much of a difference.

Dimensions
The Toyota Yaris's tank is roughly the same size as the Kia Rio5's, though the Kia Rio5's is a tad bigger. The Toyota Yaris and the Kia Rio5 compete for the same parking spaces.

Handling
With their similar turning radii, the Toyota Yaris and the Kia Rio5 most definitely handle almost the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Toyota Yaris's engine is slightly smaller than the Kia Rio5's, but not terribly so. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Kia isn't much more powerful than the Toyota Yaris.

Warranty
The basic warranty that comes with the Yaris isn't quite as generous as the Rio5's.
