Toyota Venza vs. Scion xB Review

Performance
With respect to horsepower, the Toyota Venza packs quite a punch and will knock the Scion xB down a few rungs. On the other hand, keep in mind that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Handling
With its tighter turning radius, the Scion xB is definitely more agile than the Venza, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; however, keep in mind that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The Scion xB and the Toyota Venza have similar-sized engines, with a slight advantage to the Toyota Venza.

Utility
The Scion xB and the Toyota Venza can accommodate the same number of passengers.

Convenience
The Scion xB's fuel tank will need to be replenished more often than the unit in the Toyota Venza.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the xB offers a bit more head room than the Toyota Venza, there really isn't much of a difference. While the rear of the Scion provides a bit more head- and leg-room than the Venza, there honestly isn't much of a difference.

Dimensions
Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Venza than the Scion xB because of its larger tank. The Scion xB and the Toyota Venza compete for the same parking spaces. The Scion xB's shorter wheelbase may produce a less-settled highway ride but a more maneuverable feel in daily traffic than the Venza.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs almost the same to get the Scion to the dealership as the Toyota Venza. Regarding gas mileage, the Scion xB has the Toyota Venza beat. There really isn't much of a difference in gas mileage here, but if you must know, the Scion xB is somewhat more economical than the Toyota Venza. In terms of MSRP, the Venza costs tremendously more than the Scion xB.

The Toyota and the Scion have the same basic warranty.
