Toyota Tundra vs. Ford F-150 Review

Handling
The Ford and the Toyota Tundra have about comparable tires. With their similar turning circles, the F-150 and the Toyota Tundra very likely handle about the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Ford F-150's engine is markedly bigger than the Tundra's. Keep in mind that more massive engines may use more gas than smaller ones. The Toyota Tundra could learn a lesson or two from the Ford regarding pickup.

Utility
Neither the Toyota Tundra nor the Ford F-150 has a marked advantage regarding seating capacity. The Ford F-150 is likely a better choice than the Toyota Tundra with respect to hauling capacity, especially if you often need to carry a lot of gear or beasts. There's little the Ford F-150 can tow that the Toyota cannot.

Convenience
You'll most definitely take the Ford F-150 for a fill-up roughly as often as the Toyota Tundra.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Ford F-150 offers a bit more head room than the Toyota Tundra, there really isn't much of a difference. The Ford F-150 offers more head- and leg-room to your passengers than the Toyota Tundra does.

Dimensions
The Ford F-150 is a bit more ponderous than the Tundra. The F-150's tank is about the same size as the Toyota Tundra's, though the Toyota Tundra's is a bit bigger. The Toyota rides lower than the Ford F-150, which is a good thing for its center of gravity and ease of access. The Ford F-150 and the Toyota Tundra compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The Toyota is markedly cheaper to get to the dealership than the Ford F-150. In terms of gas mileage, the Toyota Tundra is a tad better than the F-150, but not by much. Producing an accurate fuel economy evaluation is so difficult that some think not even the federal government can do it, but it looks as though both the Ford F-150 and the Ford F-150 perform approximately comparably with respect to gas mileage. The Toyota Tundra isn't much less expensive than the F-150 when it comes to MSRP. With respect to purchase cost, the Ford costs markedly more than the Toyota Tundra.

Overview
The Ford and the Toyota have the same basic warranty.
