2015 Toyota Tundra Overview

The big players in the half-ton pickup truck segment like Ford, Ram and GM have recently brought out or will launch significant changes to their half-ton trucks in the form of new powertrains, suspensions and specialty option packages. Toyota decided to take a more conservative approach with its Tundra full-size pickup truck, which gained a freshened exterior look and a redesigned interior last year.

New for 2015
Toyota has dropped the Tundra's V-6 engine, which leaves a choice of two V-8s. A 38-gallon gas tank and a spray-in bedliner are now available. Trucks with the 5.7-liter V-8 engine can have an optional integrated trailer brake controller, and SR5 and Limited trim levels of the Tundra double cab get a storage tray under the rear seat.

The new TRD Pro Series has black 18-inch alloy wheels, Bilstein high-performance shocks with remote reservoirs, TRD front springs, a TRD exhaust system, a front skid plate and a unique front grille and badges. Inside, the truck gets a TRD shift knob and floormats.
