2010 Toyota Sequoia Overview
After taking last year off, the 2010 Toyota Sequoia is back and standing taller than ever among the other full-size SUVs in its class. Saying that the Sequoia is big is a gross understatement. Two new engines provide mammoth power and capability. The base 310-horsepower, 4.6-liter i-Force V-8 produces 34 horsepower more than the 2008 Sequoia. If that’s not enough juice for you, a 381-horsepower, 5.7-liter V-8 has 401 pounds-feet of torque and can tow up to 10,000 pounds. The Sequoia also boasts a 381-horsepower, 5.7-liter engine with Flex-fuel capability. Competing with the likes of the Chevrolet Tahoe, Ford Expedition and Nissan Armada, the Sequoia receives 13-14 mpg in the city and 18-19 mpg on the highway. The Sequoia is available in three trim levels – SR5, Limited and Platinum. All trims seat up to eight passengers quite comfortably in three rows of seats. The second row slides to create easy access to the power-operated third row (power optional). Choose between cloth or leather-trimmed front bucket seats with power or adjustable lumbar control and 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. Seven-passenger perforated leather-trimmed heated and ventilated front bucket seats are optional. All three trims feature three-zone climate control, dual 12V auxiliary power outlets, high solar-energy absorbing tinted glass and a power tilt/slide moonroof with sunshade. On the inside, both the Limited and Platinum trims include a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio/climate controls and Bluetooth connectivity. An AM/FM/MP3 CD player with integrated XM Satellite Radio, auxiliary input/USB port and eight speakers are standard. A DVD navigation system (with 7-inch screen), JBL sound system with 14 speakers, XM NavTraffic, 4-disc CD changer and backup monitor are optional on the Limited trim and standard in the Platinum. The same goes for the rear-seat DVD entertainment system with 9-inch LCD screen and dual wireless headphones. When it comes to safety, the 2010 Toyota Sequoia has you covered with eight standard airbags. Driver and front passenger seat-mounted side airbags and front- and all-row roll-sensing side curtain airbags and driver and passenger knee airbags are all standard. Antilock brakes with brake assist and electronic brake-force distribution and an electronic stability system with traction control are standard. Because the Toyota Sequoia is as big as an actual sequoia, front and rear parking sensors are optional. Supersize your driving experience with the return of the powerful, spacious and feature-laden 2010 Toyota Sequoia.
