Toyota RAV4 vs. Kia Sportage Review

The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The Kia Sportage is significantly cheaper to get to the dealership than the RAV4. Producing an accurate gas mileage evaluation is so hard that some think not even the federal government can do it, but it looks as though both the Toyota RAV4 and the Toyota RAV4 perform roughly similarly in terms of fuel economy. The Kia Sportage is considerably less pricey than the Toyota when it comes to MSRP.

Utility
Drivers with frequent child-duty might favor the Toyota RAV4 over the Kia Sportage. There's no clear winner between the Sportage and the Toyota RAV4 regarding hauling capacity.

Convenience
The Kia Sportage's fuel tank will need to be replenished a little more often than the unit in the Toyota RAV4.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Toyota RAV4 offers a bit more head room than the Kia Sportage, there frankly isn't much of a difference. While the rear of the Toyota offers a bit more head- and leg-room than the Kia, there really isn't much of a difference.

Performance
Regarding horsepower, the Toyota RAV4 packs quite a wallop and will knock the Kia Sportage down a few rungs. However, keep in mind that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

With their comparable turning circles, the Toyota RAV4 and the Kia Sportage definitely handle almost the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Toyota RAV4 has a more massive engine than the Kia Sportage. Remember that smaller engines typically get better gas mileage, but smaller engines can be stressed more. The Toyota RAV4 packs quite a wallop compared to the Kia Sportage regarding torque, which is roughly equivalent to acceleration. The Kia could learn a lesson or two from the Toyota RAV4 in terms of pickup.

The basic warranty that comes with the Toyota isn't quite as generous as the Sportage's.
