Toyota RAV4 vs. Kia Sorento Review

Handling
With their comparable turning circles, the RAV4 and the Kia Sorento most certainly handle about the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Kia Sorento's engine is substantially more sizeable than the Toyota RAV4's. Keep in mind that larger engines may use more gas than smaller ones. Torque equals pickup, and the Kia Sorento will have picked up and gone by the time the Toyota RAV4 finally gets moving. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Kia Sorento is substantially more powerful than the Toyota RAV4.

Utility
Drivers with frequent child-duty might favor the Toyota RAV4 over the Kia. The Kia Sorento is a better choice than the Toyota RAV4 when it comes to hauling capacity, especially if you often need to carry a lot of loot or large dogs. Towing is substantially more the Kia Sorento's forte than it is the Toyota RAV4's.

Convenience
You'll most certainly take the Toyota RAV4 for a fill-up approximately as often as the Sorento.

Comfort
Taller drivers will significantly enjoy the extra head room in the Toyota RAV4's front cabin compared to the Kia Sorento. The Toyota RAV4 provides more head- and leg-room to your passengers than the Kia Sorento does.

Dimensions
The Sorento is substantially more bulky than the Toyota. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Kia than the Toyota RAV4 because of its bigger tank. The Kia and the Toyota RAV4 compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs approximately the same to get the Kia to the dealership as the Toyota RAV4. As far as fuel economy, the Toyota RAV4 has the Sorento beat. The Kia will tax your gas budget substantially more than the RAV4 will. The Kia isn't much less expensive than the RAV4 with respect to MSRP.

Warranty
The basic warranty that comes with the Toyota RAV4 isn't quite as generous as the Kia's.
