Price Range: $21,500 - $27,810

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs roughly the same to get the Toyota RAV4 to the dealership as the average SUV. Producing an exact gas mileage evaluation is so tricky that some think not even the federal government can do it, but it looks as though both the Toyota RAV4 and the Toyota RAV4 perform almost comparably in terms of gas mileage. The typical SUV requires a lot of gasoline compared to the Toyota RAV4. As far as MSRP, the Toyota RAV4 costs tremendously less than the typical SUV.

Utility
Drivers with frequent child-duty might favor the RAV4 over the average SUV. The average SUV is a better choice than the RAV4 in terms of transporting cargo, especially if you frequently need to carry a lot of equipment or big pets. The typical SUV outpulls the Toyota RAV4 by a sizeable margin.

Convenience
You'll most certainly have to take the Toyota RAV4 for a fill-up more often than the typical SUV because of its tank size and gas mileage.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Toyota RAV4 offers a bit more head room than the typical SUV, there frankly isn't much of a difference. While the rear of the Toyota RAV4 provides a bit more head- and leg-room than the average SUV, there frankly isn't much of a difference.

Dimensions
The typical SUV is considerably more bulky than the Toyota RAV4. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the typical SUV than the Toyota RAV4 because of its bigger tank. The RAV4 and the average SUV compete for the same parking spaces. The Toyota RAV4's shorter wheelbase will give a nimbler feel in daily traffic. On the flip side, the typical SUV is likely to have a smoother, more stable ride.

Handling
With its tighter turning circle, the RAV4 is most certainly sprier than the typical SUV, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; however, remember that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The typical SUV's engine is tremendously larger than the Toyota RAV4's. Bear in mind that larger engines may use more gas than smaller ones. The RAV4 could learn a lesson or two from the typical SUV when it comes to torque. Torque equals pickup, and the typical SUV will have picked up and gone by the time the Toyota RAV4 finally gets moving.

Warranty
The basic warranty that comes with the RAV4 isn't quite as generous as the average SUV's.
