The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs almost the same to get the Kia Forte to the dealership as the Toyota Prius. The Kia Forte will tax your gasoline budget tremendously more than the Toyota Prius will. Regarding fuel economy, the Toyota Prius bests the Kia Forte. With respect to MSRP, the Kia Forte costs tremendously less than the Toyota Prius. The Toyota Prius will save you a bundle at the pump every year compared to the Kia Forte. The Kia will cost you a bundle in gasoline every year compared to the Toyota Prius.

Utility
Neither the Forte nor the Toyota Prius has a marked advantage regarding seating capacity.

Convenience
The Kia's fuel tank will need to be replenished more often than the unit in the Toyota Prius.

Comfort
Taller drivers will considerably enjoy the extra head room in the Kia Forte's front cabin compared to the Toyota Prius. The Toyota Prius is not particularly roomier for your passengers than the Forte.

Dimensions
The Toyota Prius is tremendously more bulky than the Kia Forte. Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Kia Forte than the Toyota Prius because of its larger tank. The Toyota Prius and the Kia Forte compete for the same parking spaces.

Performance
As far as horsepower, the Kia Forte packs quite a punch and will knock the Toyota Prius down a few rungs. On the flip side, bear in mind that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Handling
With their similar turning circles, the Kia and the Toyota Prius most certainly handle almost the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Toyota's engine is a bit smaller than the Kia Forte's, but not terribly so. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Kia is considerably more powerful than the Prius. The Toyota Prius could learn a lesson or two from the Forte when it comes to pickup.

Warranty
The basic warranty that comes with the Toyota Prius isn't quite as generous as the Forte's.
