Performance
In terms of horsepower, the Kia Amanti packs quite a wallop and will knock the Toyota Prius down a few rungs. On the other hand, keep in mind that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Dimensions
Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Kia Amanti than the Toyota Prius because of its larger tank. The Toyota and the Kia Amanti compete for the same parking spaces.

Convenience
The Kia Amanti's fuel tank will need to be replenished more often than the unit in the Prius.

Cost
Regarding fuel economy, the Toyota Prius bests the Kia Amanti. The Kia Amanti pales in comparison to the Toyota Prius with respect to gas mileage. Regarding MSRP, the Kia Amanti costs about as much as the Toyota Prius (though the Toyota Prius is a tad cheaper). The Kia Amanti will cost you a bundle in gasoline every year compared to the Prius. The Toyota Prius will save you a lots_of_money at the pump every year compared to the Kia Amanti.

Handling
With its tighter turning circle, the Toyota Prius is definitely more maneuverable than the Amanti, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; however, remember that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The Kia has a more massive engine than the Toyota Prius. Keep in mind that smaller engines are often cheaper to fix, but smaller engines can be stressed more. The Kia Amanti packs quite a punch compared to the Toyota Prius as far as torque, which is roughly equivalent to acceleration. Torque equals pickup, and the Kia Amanti will have picked up and gone by the time the Toyota Prius finally gets moving.

Comfort
Taller drivers will considerably enjoy the extra head room in the Kia's front cabin compared to the Prius. While the rear of the Kia Amanti offers a bit more head- and leg-room than the Prius, there really isn't much of a difference.
