With their comparable turning radii, the Spectra5 and the Toyota Matrix quite certainly handle roughly the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Toyota Matrix's engine is somewhat smaller than the Kia Spectra5's, but not terribly so.

Utility
Neither the Kia Spectra5 nor the Toyota Matrix has a marked advantage as far as seating capacity.

Convenience
The Toyota Matrix's fuel tank will need to be replenished more often than the unit in the Spectra5.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Toyota Matrix offers a bit more head room than the Spectra5, there honestly isn't much of a difference. The Toyota Matrix is not particularly roomier for your passengers than the Kia Spectra5.

Dimensions
The Toyota Matrix's tank is almost the same size as the Kia Spectra5's, though the Spectra5's is somewhat bigger. The Spectra5 and the Matrix compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs almost the same to get the Spectra5 to the dealership as the Toyota Matrix. The Kia Spectra5 will save you money at the pump compared to the Toyota. The Toyota Matrix pales in comparison to the Kia in terms of gas mileage. The Toyota Matrix is considerably more expensive than the Kia Spectra5 in terms of MSRP.

Warranty
The basic after-sale protection that comes with the Toyota Matrix isn't quite as generous as the Kia Spectra5's.
