Toyota Highlander Hybrid vs. Cadillac SRX Review

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs almost the same to get the Highlander Hybrid to the dealership as the Cadillac SRX. The Cadillac SRX consumes a lot of gasoline compared to the Toyota Highlander Hybrid. The Highlander Hybrid pales in comparison to the Cadillac SRX with respect to fuel economy. In terms of MSRP, the Cadillac costs roughly as much as the Toyota Highlander Hybrid (though the Toyota Highlander Hybrid is somewhat cheaper).

Utility
Drivers with frequent kid-duty might favor the Toyota Highlander Hybrid over the Cadillac SRX. There's no clear winner between the Highlander Hybrid and the Cadillac SRX in terms of hauling capacity. Towing is substantially more the Toyota's forte than it is the Cadillac SRX's.

Convenience
The Highlander Hybrid's fuel tank will need to be replenished a bit more often than the unit in the Cadillac SRX.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Toyota Highlander Hybrid offers a bit more head room than the Cadillac SRX, there really isn't much of a difference. The ampler interior dimensions of the Toyota make it significantly roomier for your passengers than the SRX.

Dimensions
Your wallet will hurt more every time you fill up the Cadillac than the Toyota Highlander Hybrid because of its larger tank. The Toyota Highlander Hybrid and the Cadillac SRX compete for the same parking spaces.

Performance
In terms of horsepower, the Cadillac SRX packs quite a punch and will knock the Toyota down a few rungs. On the other hand, remember that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Handling
With their comparable turning circles, the Highlander Hybrid and the Cadillac SRX likely handle roughly the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Cadillac SRX's engine is a little smaller than the Toyota Highlander Hybrid's, but not terribly so. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Cadillac isn't much more powerful than the Toyota.

Warranty
The basic after-sale protection that comes with the Toyota isn't quite as generous as the Cadillac's.
