Toyota Highlander vs. Subaru Tribeca Review

Utility
The Toyota Highlander and the Tribeca can accommodate the same number of passengers. The Toyota Highlander is likely a better choice than the Subaru Tribeca with respect to transporting cargo, especially if you often need to carry a lot of suitcases or massive dogs.

Dimensions
The Subaru's tank is about the same size as the Toyota Highlander's, though the Toyota Highlander's is a bit bigger. The Toyota Highlander and the Subaru Tribeca compete for the same parking spaces.

Convenience
You'll quite certainly have to take the Subaru Tribeca for a fill-up more often than the Highlander because of its tank size and fuel economy.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. The Subaru Tribeca is considerably cheaper to get to the dealership than the Toyota Highlander. Producing a precise gas mileage evaluation is so difficult that some think not even the federal government can do it, but it looks as though both the Highlander and the Highlander perform roughly comparably regarding gas mileage. The Tribeca requires a lot of gas compared to the Highlander. As far as MSRP, the Toyota Highlander doesn't cost much less than the Subaru Tribeca.

Handling
With their similar turning radii, the Subaru and the Toyota Highlander likely handle roughly the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Tribeca's engine is substantially bigger than the Toyota Highlander's. Keep in mind that larger engines may use more gas than smaller ones. The Toyota could learn a lesson or two from the Subaru Tribeca as far as torque. Torque equals pickup, and the Subaru Tribeca will have picked up and gone by the time the Toyota Highlander finally gets moving.

Comfort
Taller drivers will significantly enjoy the extra head room in the Toyota Highlander's front cabin compared to the Subaru. The Toyota Highlander provides more head- and leg-room to your passengers than the Subaru Tribeca does.

Warranty
The Subaru and the Toyota Highlander have the same basic warranty.
