Toyota Highlander vs. Kia Borrego Review

The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs approximately the same to get the Kia Borrego to the dealership as the Toyota. With respect to fuel economy, the Toyota Highlander beats the Kia Borrego. With respect to MSRP, the Kia Borrego costs almost as much as the Toyota Highlander (though the Toyota Highlander is a tad cheaper).

Utility
Neither the Toyota Highlander nor the Kia has a marked advantage as far as seating capacity. The Kia Borrego outpulls the Highlander by a large margin.

Convenience
You likely won't have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Kia Borrego than with the Toyota Highlander, as both offer comparable mileage ranges.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Toyota offers a bit more head room than the Kia Borrego, there honestly isn't much of a difference. The ampler interior dimensions of the Toyota Highlander make it more spacious for your passengers than the Kia Borrego.

The Highlander's tank is approximately the same size as the Kia Borrego's, though the Kia Borrego's is somewhat bigger. The Toyota Highlander and the Kia Borrego compete for the same parking spaces.

With their comparable turning circles, the Kia Borrego and the Toyota Highlander likely handle about the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Kia Borrego's engine is significantly bigger than the Toyota Highlander's. Remember that larger engines may use more gasoline than smaller ones. Torque equals pickup, and the Kia Borrego will have picked up and gone by the time the Toyota Highlander finally gets moving. Torque is roughly equivalent to acceleration, and in this respect, the Kia Borrego is considerably more powerful than the Toyota.
