The Toyota FJ Cruiser is substantially heavier than the Suzuki. The Suzuki's tank is about the same size as the Toyota's, though the Toyota FJ Cruiser's is a bit larger. The Suzuki Grand Vitara and the Toyota compete for the same parking spaces.

Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the Toyota packs quite a punch and will knock the Grand Vitara down a few rungs. On the flip side, note that high horsepower engines often command higher insurance premiums.

Handling
With its tighter turning circle, the Suzuki Grand Vitara is definitely more agile than the Toyota FJ Cruiser, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; on the other hand, note that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
