Toyota Corolla vs. Chevrolet Aveo Review

Handling
With its tighter turning radius, the Chevrolet Aveo is quite certainly nimbler than the Toyota, something to consider if you do a lot of city driving; on the flip side, keep in mind that a vehicle with a tight turning circle may feel a bit twitchy on the highway.

Drivetrain
The Chevrolet Aveo and the Toyota Corolla have similar-sized engines, with a slight advantage to the Toyota Corolla. The Aveo could learn a lesson or two from the Toyota Corolla in terms of pickup. Torque equals pickup, and the Toyota will have picked up and gone by the time the Chevrolet finally gets moving.

Utility
Neither the Corolla nor the Chevrolet Aveo has a marked advantage as far as seating capacity.

Convenience
You quite certainly won't have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Chevrolet than with the Toyota, because both offer comparable mileage ranges.

Comfort
While the front cabin in the Aveo offers a bit more head room than the Toyota, there frankly isn't much of a difference. The Toyota is not particularly roomier for your passengers than the Chevrolet Aveo.

Dimensions
The Chevrolet's tank is almost the same size as the Toyota Corolla's, though the Toyota Corolla's is somewhat bigger. The Chevrolet Aveo and the Corolla compete for the same parking spaces.

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs about the same to get the Chevrolet Aveo to the dealership as the Toyota. There frankly isn't much of a difference in gas mileage here, but if you must know, the Chevrolet Aveo is slightly more economical than the Toyota Corolla. Producing an exact fuel economy evaluation is so difficult that some think not even the federal government can do it, but it looks as though both the Toyota Corolla and the Toyota Corolla perform about similarly as far as gas mileage. In terms of MSRP, the Chevrolet Aveo costs considerably less than the Toyota Corolla.

Warranty
The Chevrolet Aveo and the Toyota have the same basic after-sale protection.
