Toyota Camry vs. Hyundai Sonata Review

Cost
The destination charge is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle from its point of origin to the dealer. It costs almost the same to get the Hyundai Sonata to the dealership as the Toyota Camry. The Toyota Camry doesn't pale in comparison to the Hyundai Sonata in terms of gas mileage. As far as MSRP, the Hyundai Sonata doesn't cost much less than the Toyota.

Utility
Neither the Hyundai nor the Toyota has a marked advantage regarding seating capacity.

Convenience
You won't have to visit your friendly gas station more often with the Hyundai than with the Toyota Camry, because both offer similar ranges.

Comfort
Taller drivers will significantly enjoy the extra head room in the Hyundai's front cabin compared to the Toyota Camry. While the rear of the Camry provides a bit more head- and leg-room than the Sonata, there really isn't much of a difference.

Dimensions
The Hyundai Sonata's tank is approximately the same size as the Toyota Camry's, though the Toyota Camry's is a little larger. The Hyundai Sonata and the Toyota Camry compete for the same parking spaces.

Handling
With their comparable turning radii, the Hyundai Sonata and the Camry quite certainly handle almost the same into and out of tight spots.

Drivetrain
The Hyundai Sonata's engine is a tad smaller than the Toyota Camry's, but not terribly so. The Toyota has no lessons to learn regarding torque from the Hyundai Sonata.

Warranty
The basic after-sale protection that comes with the Toyota Camry isn't quite as generous as the Hyundai Sonata's.
